Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Renson Ingonga received the Digital Transformation Public Sector Award for Best Public Service CEO on February 28th in Mombasa.
The award, presented by Information, Communication, and Digital Economy Cabinet Secretary William Kabogo, recognizes Ingonga's leadership in implementing the Uadilifu Case Management System within the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP).
The Uadilifu system, a digital platform designed to streamline case file management, has significantly enhanced prosecutorial efficiency and strengthened coordination between the ODPP and the Judiciary.
Ingonga, speaking at the awards ceremony, affirmed the ODPP's commitment to remaining at the forefront of digital transformation initiatives.
Ingonga was selected from a pool of six nominees by a panel of judges drawn from both the public and private sectors. His recognition highlights the growing emphasis on digital solutions to improve public service delivery within Kenya.
The State Department for Immigration and Citizen Services also received accolades at the event, securing awards for Best Collaborative Digital Public Sector Initiative and Digital Innovation State Department of the Year. The department also was recognized as the 1st Runner-Up Overall Digital Transformation Public Sector Awards 2025. Director General of Immigration Evelyn Cheluget accepted the awards.
Cabinet Secretary Kabogo reiterated his ministry's dedication to spearheading this digital shift.
Ingonga’s recent accomplishments, including his election as president of the Africa Prosecutors Association (APA) and his receipt of the Chief of the Order of the Burning Spear (CBS) award from President William Ruto, further solidify his prominence in Africa's legal and digital evolution.
