Peter Kenneth Concedes Defeat, Pledges to Work with Sonko to Improve the Lives of Nairobians
Former Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth has conceded defeat and congratulated Mike Sonko after finishing a disappointing distant third in the race for Nairobi governor. Kenneth, who was running as an independent candidate after having lost to Sonko in the Jubilee primary, in a statement said he respects the will of the people.
"I accept the results and congratulate the incoming governor Mike Sonko. I wish him Godspeed as he takes on the enormous task,” said Kenneth in a concession statement late Wednesday.
Kenneth said will work with Mike Sonko in a bid to make the life of Nairobians better, saying: “The incoming governor has his work cut out and needs the support of each and every Nairobian to succeed. He can count on my support.”
Peter Kenneth finished the race a distant third, with only 41,458 votes (2.67%) against eventual winner Mbuvi Sonko of Jubilee Party who garnered 831,335 votes (53.51%) and incumbent Evans Kidero of ODM with 665,531 votes (42.84%).
Kenneth had protested the outcome of the Jubilee primaries in April and called them shambolic. He at the time claimed that he would have won the contest genuinely had the process been free and fair, eventually deciding to run as an independent.

Speak for yourself Mkenya.It is big shame that Kenyans can only elect thugs,druglords,grabbers,murderers and other evil people to lead them.90 percent of all contents,including Kenneth,Sonko,Kidero,Kabogo,Raila,Waititu,Uhuru etc should be at Kamiti prison serving lengthily jail terms for various offenses.

Peter KENNETH, you were,determined to spoil for SONKO arguing the same way to did in 2013 with trying to spoil the Uhuru votes. You are either mislead or over ambitious.
