Jubilee to Take Action against Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria over Remarks on Raila

President Uhuru's Jubilee Party has threatened to action against Gatundu South Member of Parliament, Moses Kuria, for his reckless sentiments.

Speaking during an interview on NTV’s political talk show Sidebar on Wednesday night, Jubilee Secretary General Raphael Tuju distanced the party from Kuria’s remarks saying they were “not part of Jubilee’s policy”.

Tuju said that the party would take an unspecified disciplinary measure on the litigator for the inflammatory sentiments.

“Moses Kuria is out of order and I will not accept this kind of language,” said Tuju.

“If it is from his official Facebook page, then I will take it up with him because it is unacceptable.”

“Simple, and it cannot be Jubilee policy. We cannot be put on the spot by mistakes of a few elements in the party who are preaching the wrong thing for this country.”

The constitution allows a political party in which an MP is elected on to fine, suspend or even expel in the event he's found guilty.

Kuria used his Facebook page to make sentiments that could be translated to hate speech.

“Kiambu has spoken. They have said Wembe ni Ule Ule. Wangige and Kiambu people are seething with anger. 1 Million of their votes were cancelled by 4 people. But they are so ready to do it again. And even more And even more. Manhunt is on tonight for the 200,000 people who did not vote and the 70,000 that voted for that other demon.” Kuria’s post read in part.

By "demon", Kuria was referring to National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga, who got about 70,000 votes in Kiambu county in the nullified August 8th election.

Yes!He has crossed the line. Kikuyu culture prides itself not on the actual act of male circumcision but what it represents; growing up, being an elder in talk and actions. Moses kuria represented none. Am sure there were kids in the meeting when he uttered ugly words that no man should. His rikaa-mates should call him out on this

How did the IEBC clear this Mathare Hospital patient to run for any public elective position. Kuria is mentally gone. Neither Raila nor Uhuru can tame this man!

Kenya desperately needs a national leader. Neither Raila nor Uhuru can fulfill this vacuum!

The day when Chris Msando was found dead, Moses Kuria was seen standing next to his vehicle!

Has he been arrested and interrogated to tell the nation what he know about Msando's death?

How many people in Kenya are going to be killed before one killer is arrested?

Again, my blame falls on the Criminal IEBC for clearing people like Kuria to run for a very important parliamentary seat while his closet has no more room to accept any more skeletons!

I mara, to me the question is why was he ever elected by the people of South Gatundu,in the first place?Voters should start put more emphasis on integrity. That's all.See even if IEBC lets him run, the people have the final say,and if they are "liking" a character like this one, I dont know what to say.

This is what you get when you elect uneducated morons! Rails has fought for and suffered for a lot of changes in kenya, whether you agree with him or not, respect the gentleman!

If all he said is what I read here, all I see is a section of the population pretending to hold a higher moral stand/authority and censuring Kuria for utterances that others in the political arena utter without much consequence. Again if this is all, the punishment does not fit the "crime".

It's all subjective. I see no wrong or violence incitement in his speech. To me, his words just translate that the manhunt is on for those who did not vote and those who voted for Odinga to mean they will campaign harder until they poach these people! Where is the hate in that? His leader is using worse words and sentiments than that. Odinga himself is king of abuse. Miguna, Miguna is vise and the list goes on.....Appears to be the trending behavior in Kenya so stop scapegoating this guy.. and unwittingly sucking up and appeasing Odinga! Ala, niaje?

Sukari: Neither Raila nor Uhuru are fit to be the president of Kenya. Both are not clean. They have a shady past carefully preserved in their closets.

Neither Raila or Uhuru could pass the basic requirements of our Chapter 6 of our new constitution. We are in this political mess because our incompetent members of the IEBC cleared them to run for public office. We have to abolish the IEBC if we are serious about preserving Kenya as a viable nation!

@Sukari:

Ndugu zangu Wameru watakuita, "Muntu maiti."

Imara, sikuelewi, I admit, but I deduce you are saying I am a walking dead? Well, I really don't know how to respond to that personal attack. Lakini I notice you sway to and from, mara both leaders are undeserving then you appear to support Odinga. I don't mince my words: If I had a choice I would support neither, as I feel both come from a school of thought we need to get rid of. HOWEVER, Uhuru is clearly a lesser evil compared to his opponent and he has my vote and that of my family. Like someone else said above, "meza na kama ni chungu tema!". I will go a step further and urge you to: Chukua utangi!

Sote twa aibika na tabia tunayo hushudia wakati huu kutoka kwa wakubwa wetu, that's why lazima tushikane ki-ndugu and encourage each other. Vishindo havileti umoja. Samahani.
