Babu Owino Re-Arrested Moments after Being Freed on Bail

Embakasi East Member of Parliament Paul Ongili, well known as Babu Owino has reportedly been re-arrested moments after a Nairobi Court released him on sh 500,000 cash bail.

Reports indicate that the youthful MP was once agains arrested outside the Milimani Law Courts under unclear circumstances.

Owino was first taken in on Monday and was on Tuesday charged with subversion and offensive conduct, as well as an alternative charge of incitement to violence.

The MP denied the three charges and was freed on Wednesday after the prosecution failed to table compelling reasons as to why he should remain in remand.

There has apparently been teargas lobbed outside the Milimani Courts where the ODM MP was appearing for his bail hearing.

Babu was arrested on Monday following his Sunday remarks at a National Super Alliance rally in Nairobi's Kawangware estate directed at President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Lock him up for 28 years. I have no mercy for this thug. You don't run around spilling vitriol on people as if NASA is the world. And when you advocate revolution through violence, no mercy. Orengo can go back to court and rescue you.

Uhuru, Kenya belongs to 44 million people. Every Kenyan is important and equality and justice should apply to all Kenyans.

I am not writing here to defend anybody who uses inappropriate language (Uhuru, Kuria, Muthama, Duale, Babu Owino) in order to make a point. What I know is that after we were brainwashed beyond redemption by our European and Arabs brothers and sisters, some of us took not only their names, but also, their language, culture, and religion.

Language is indeed an extension of people's culture. Among the native speakers of American English, what Babu Owino said is quite normal. I am not defending him. However, the influence of the American English is now felt all over the world as a result of their economic, military, and culture through movies that we watch.

Last week, Ndugu Donald Trump the American president called the football player who refuse to stand when their national anthem is sung, "sons of ..." He was not arrested like Babu Owino! Why? It is part of the American English for some Americans to use this term!

When the recorded tapes of the late president of the USA Richard Nixon were played, he used this inappropriate language several times. If we have to arrest people and put them in jail, let it be only when they threaten to terminate the life of another person. For example, Ndugu Kuria has threatened to terminate Raila's life and yet we see him roaming in Kenya freely? This man, (Kuria) is so obsessed with circumcision against the Luo people to such an extent that he does not realize that the railway he uses from Nairobi to Mombasa was constructed by uncircumcised people. Kuria, for your information, the Chinese, Japanese, Indians, Russians, Koreans, and the entire Europe do not circumcise their men. Please stop your hatred among the Luo people based on their cultural choices. You desperately need to see a psychiatrist because you have a very severe mental problem!

I am not a Luo, Kalenjin, or Kikuyu. However, I have observed intense hatred of the Kikuyu and Kalenjin people directed against the Luo people. Several Luo prominent people were killed under Jomo and Toroitich's rule. Lately, Chris Msando joined the group of Luo people killed. This must stop. Kenya does not belong to the Kikuyu and the Kalenjin alone. It belongs to all of us.

I would like to remind my fellow Kenyans that at the moment, neither Raila nor Uhuru is fit to lead Kenya. Both have heavy baggage emanating from their fathers hatred towards each other. Let us not allow these two people to hold us hostage and destroy Kenya for their own selfish motives. Uhuru, do what Mandela did. He (Mandela) was in office for only one term and left.

'"Kuishi kwingi ni kuona mengi." How many of you remember Jean Marie Seroney. He was an MP of Tinderet and deputy speaker of the parliament - a fearless champion of democracy. In 1975, the late MP for Butere Martin Shikuku said in parliament that "KANU, the ruling party was dead." When Shikuku was confronted by Kenyatta's sycophants and asked to clarify his statement, Ndugu Seroney said, "why substantiate the obvious."

Both were arrested (Seroney and Shikuku) from the precincts of the parliament and detained by Jomo Kenyatta later that afternoon. He (Seroney) had earlier accused Kenyatta in 1969 of grabbing land in the Rift Valley. History repeats itself.

Mtoto wa nyoka ni nyoka. Babu Owino, has been elected recently as an MP of Starehe. He is being treated by the son of Jomo as a criminal. This is wrong. Uhuru must resign from our parliament. He is reviving the decadent rule of his father about 39 years after his father's death. Since he is unable to learn from Mwai Kibaki how to govern literate people, I strongly believe that he should either resign or be impeached.

My dear Kenyans, a vote for Raila or Uhuru is a vote for resurrecting dictatorship. This is not Russia and we don't want Russian system introduced in our country.

Why are you criticizing the Doctors? I am from Kisumu myself and I know first hand what AIDS has done to our people. I have lost five uncles and two cousins to AIDS. There is AIDS epidemic in Lake Victoria basin and unless the problem is addressed we will lose a lot of people. There is whole lot of things that contributes to this epidemic and lack of circumcision is just one of it. There is poverty, ignorance, lack of education , etc. Dr. Koni Hanene and his fellow doctors are addressing a problem the government have failed to address and should be commended for their contribution to the subject. I may not agree with some of their opinion especially on Honorable Raila but they are entitled to their own opinion. This hatred been displayed here will not help our country. We are one people. We either prosper together as one or die together as fools

2 Kings 2:23-24
Then he went up from there to Bethel; and as he was going up by the way, young lads came out from the city and mocked him and said to him, "Go up, you baldhead; go up, you baldhead!" When he looked behind him and saw them, he cursed them in the name of the LORD. Then two female bears came out of the woods and tore up forty-two lads of their number.

Kenya ina wenyewe. Do not mistake a rained-on lion for a cat. There is this assumption that when you appear in media you control Kenya-far from it. This hooliganism culture need be nibbed in the bud. What country allows its subjects to be professional hooligans? Matiang'i sounds like a true patriot.

Truth is, people confuse jealousy and envy with hate. People who are criticizing the Doctor are actually the people that envy him most. They want what he has , or want to be where he is. A Doctorate degree is not easy to attain and they know that. If there is anybody who need a degree from River Road is Anonymous and vitendawili for they lack intellectual confidence to deal with issues as they come. The fact that they are lads doesn't meam the Doctor is after them. I can understand. Their way of thinking is probably same as Owino's. Kenya need to embark on vigorous campaign to eradicate this problem of circumcision. It will safe life's of people like vitndewili Ojinga and Anonymous who need to be circumcised urgently

A doctorate is gotten esp Africans so as one can brag how learned they are and most of them are just that theory and passing exams, they effect no change in their society just write journals after journals , attend conferences, Ted talkers and then write some more and keep reminding everyone they meet that they have a PHds meanwhile real change agents aka Bill gates, Zuckerberg, Apple founder etc didnt need Phds to be innovators nor financial moguls ....just saying
