Kalonzo On How Jubilee Plans to Sabotage October 26th Election

National Super Alliance (NASA) running mate Kalonzo Musyoka alleges that there is a scheme by the Jubilee government to sabotage the October 26th repeat election ordered by the Supreme Court.

The Wiper Democratic Movement leader claimed that Jubilee plans to make use of a constitutional provision that says that a presidential election will be called off if a presidential candidate or their running mate dies before the election is conducted.

The former Vice President said the unilateral withdrawal NASA presidential flag bearer Raila Odinga's and his security detail in the wake of an election is enough prove to his claims that Jubilee want to derail the poll and cling om to power.

"Today, the other two officers attached to me have been notified to report back to their stations for re-deployment," Kalonzo said.

"What is their motive when they withdraw the security of a presidential candidate? It is like allowing Mungiki to come and fix ten of us; that is what we mean. The Constitution says that if any of the presidential candidates or their running mates dies, there will be no election.

Kalonzo further dismissed the 7-man project team unveiled by Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission chairperson Wafula to preside over the repeat election, saying there is a plot to rig the fresh poll.

"Whatever Chebukati announced are just but cosmetics, they have already set systems for rigging the elections, none of our demands have been addressed,"Kalonzo said.

Kalonzo, who was speaking in Kitui on Saturday maintained that Nasa would not be part of the fresh election if their demands to IEBC are not met.
