State Revokes Firearms Licences Issued to Kalonzo, Mudavadi

The government has reportedly revoked firearms licenses issued to National Super Alliance (Nasa) co-principals Kalonzo Musyoka and Musalia Mudavadi.

Speaking to the media at Okoa Kenya offices in Nairobi, Wiper leader Kalonzo said his gun permit has been revoked, two days after his bodyguards were withdrawn.

“They first took away my security, then my home was attacked with a hand grenade and two bullets shot from an AK47 the next day."

"Now they have come for the last thing I could use to defend myself,” Mr Musyoka told journalists at the Okoa Kenya offices in Nairobi.

This comes a day after a controversial attack at his Karen residence by unknown gunmen. Police are still investigating the incident.

On his part, Amani National Congress leader Mudavadi said he was issued with a letter notifying him that his firearm licence has been withdrawn.

“I have owned a firearm since 1993. And I am a proper citizen. In those years, I have never used it once, in any incident. Then, out of the blue, they write to me now to revoke that licence,” Mudavadi said.

The license of Dagoretti North Member of Parliament was also revoked on Wednesday. In a gazette notice dated January 30th, the Firearms Licensing Board ordered the MP to surrender his firearms, saying that he is no longer fit to be entrusted with guns.

“In accordance with the Provisions of the Firearms Act Cap 114 Laws of Kenya your Firearm Certificate No. 10242 issued to you on 12 November 2015 is with effect from the date of this notice, revoked as the Firearms Licensing Board is satisfied that the revocation is warranted under section 3(5) (b) and section 5(7) of the above mentioned Act for reasons that you are unfit to be entrusted with a firearm anymore,” read the notice issued by the board’s Secretary Samuel Kimaru.

Muda and Kalo, don't forget you belong to a rebel movement the NRM. And if you are in NRM, you do not need right to possess a gun since you are declared rebels. There are millions of Kenyans without guns; and they survive without them. Why wouldn't you? Learn Karate for self defense.

Good! May you experience the insecurity the rest of us are exposed to day-in-day-out. You take taxpayers sweat for granted; instead of helping create an environment where taxpayers can enjoy maximum security while they undertake their day-to-day economic activities, you encourage goons to harass and intimidate us, you chase would-be investors away, you smear shit on our faces while you eat well, shine and smell good at our expense!!! Welcome to our world!

I know I am dealing with an unrealistic, nonsensical person when I see one thinking in absolutes. It does not matter who is in power, crime will always be there. You argue as if you believe that your demigod, the NRM and Alqaeda pointman in Kenya, the underarm behind all this insecurity, would wipe out all crime if he ever were in power... that's a pipe dream....oh ya, even ever thinking he'd be a president is a pipe dream for him too.

Corridors if Power: So, what is the endgame of the current arrests of politicians allied to NASA in connection to Tuesday's swearing-in of Raila Odinga? Well, according to some Jubilee strategists, the shock-and-awe tactic is meant to create apprehension and pandemonium in the opposition outfit. After yesterday’s dramatic arrest of “General” Miguna Miguna, one Jubilee insider opined: “We are going to arrest every leader who was with Raila at the swearing-in. Joho and all of them. We will arrest them, but we won’t take them to trial. We just want to make their lives difficult.”

Useless Jubilee!!!
