I'll Be Kenya's 5th President, Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua Says

Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua has once again reiterated his quest to succeed President Kenyatta in the 2022 general elections.

Addressing supporters outside Machakos High Court on Friday following a land mark ruling that upheld his re-election, Mutua said he is firmly in the race for the country's top seat.

“My great people of Machakos, I thank you most sincerely for your support. This victory is an endorsement for my 2022 presidency and I invite all Kenyans to board the train for 2022,” he said.

“I am happy, really happy, today is a declaration that the journey to Statehouse is on and in 2022 I will vie and by God’s Grace I will win to become the 5th President of Kenya."

“To Kenyans, the time for fresh leadership that is not tribal, clean, visionary, creative, energetic and with a new way of doing things is here with us. I am ready to serve you,” said he adding that he is ready to work with his competitor Wavinya Ndeti.

In his ruling, High Court judge Aggrey Muchelule dismissed the petition filed by former Kathiani MP Wavinya Ndeti for lack of evidence and ordered her to pay Sh10 million to Mutua and Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).

"I have considered all the evidence placed before me and the submissions by counsel. I have come to the conclusion that this petition lacks merit. And I find that the Machakos gubernatorial election was conducted in a free, fair and credible manner,” said Justice Muchelule amid cheers by Mutua’s supporters.

Mutua garnered 249,603 votes to be declared the winner of Machakos Governor race against Wavinya, who got 209,144. She contested on a Wiper party ticket.

Alfred, you do not have the numbers to propell you to Statehouse. DP Ruto's backyard is stronger than Ukambani combined. He will floor you hands down with the backing of the Mt. Kenya. Wacha mzaha (ekana na ithau) and work with JP to be onsidered for DP post in 2022. Othetwise you will go to political oblivion like our Tseikulu master. I earnestly beg you STOP brushing shoulders with current DP.
