Kirinyaga Deputy Governor Peter Ndambiri Njagi was reportedly caught red handed in bed with someone else's wife. A video that has gone viral on the social media shows the politician and the woman in their birthday suits receiving beatings from a group of men, among them am man who introduces himself as the woman's husband.
In the video, Njagi and his reported lover have been forced to sit on the floor of what appears like a guest room, both completely naked. The men who busted them can be heard questioning Ndambiri in Kikuyu. They ask him to introduce himself. In response, the Deputy Governor identifies himself as Ndambiri Njagi, a businessman.
However, the men seem to be aware that he is Anne Waiguru's deputy, and ask him why he left the name Peter while introducing himself amid slapping him.
He confesses that he has slept with the woman countless times and that he didn't know she was married. He also says that he had planned to visit the woman's parents for dowry talks and apologizes to the husband.
"I want to tell that man that I'm very sorry. I did not know she is married, I was even planning to meet her family," he says.
Here is an except from the conversation between Njagi and the alleged woman's husband:
Man: Say who you are, say your name.
Njagi: Ndambiri wa Njagi.
Man: Why are you leaving out the name Peter? Tell us what you do.
Njagi: I'm a business man.
Man: Are you not the deputy governor of Kirinyaga?
Njagi: I'm a politician.

The Man if proved beyond reasonable doubt to be a politician (DG) deserves disciplinary action by CoG.

This is totally unacceptable, it is criminal to burst into the hotel room and actually beat two consenting adults. The husband should be charged with assault. Tame your wifes desires or satisfy her and she wouldn't go anywhere for it. Kenyan men have so many mpango wakando's and a line of ndogo ndogo's that they have no time for sex with their wifes but women are supposed to just endure with their desires. Mr. Police Commissioner this is mob justice and it is criminal arrests need to happen and quickly to teach others a lesson.

Beating the lover will just make the next lover more careful or well armed.Your wife is cheating,this is a glaring sign that there is a serious issue in your marriage.

Some people prefer dealing with issues there and then. For those who are talking of going for divorce, where? In Kenya’s very corrupt & inefficient justice system where cases drag for ages? It's illegal by all means to beat up somebody regardless more so if it's true that the woman had lied of her marital status to this dude. The husband to this woman is a coward and ought to have known for a while that his wife was having an affair. he couldn't dare deal with the issue directly but opted for the harambee beatings as an intervention? Events do not happen suddenly. Though i understand the husband's pain as infidelity is the greatest betrayal, he had 3 legal options; to divorce, or remain in the marriage and not mend anything, or rebuild the marriage entirely. I pray this guy sue for aggravated assault, humiliation and emotional damages coz all the evidence are on the internet.

You guys be realistic. I have never gone through this but I can imagine myself reacting the same way this husband did. What the DG was doing was not against the law, so there was no need to call the cops. The best thing was to humiliate them just like what happened. This was a good lesson to the DG because people like him use their positions to sleep with students and other people's wives. And for those of you advising men to control their wives blah blah blah... There is no need for that. If the wife is not happy in the marriage, she should walk out of it, and not fuck around! That is the decent thing to do. If it was me, the scene would have been much uglier!!!
Agreed. Barbaric behaviour. He didnt rape her. So how will his marriage be after this. Charge them with causing grievous bodily harm and throw away the key. If your wife cheats on you,hire a detective, take the evidence to a divorce lawyer and get rid.
Evidence is needed in divorce if there is a chance of a divorce fight in court. Especially if there is property to fight for or child custody! But that is more in Western world. In Kenya we do the old school way and the leave the courts to the rich! If that ordinary guy called the police for the DG, how far do you think the case would go? That husband was even lenient. I would have beaten the hell out of the two!

For some reason we think fools came up with these wise words and they don't apply to us in modern times. @ Maxiley, Yes it would make a difference. The word here is "married". There's polygamy and polyandry, then there's adultery. The prior two are meant to prevent the latter which is a deadly sin from happening. So one can marry as many as they want as long as they're single or widowed. That's no sin. The deputy governor has no mistake😂😂. He didn't break any laws, if they both had sex with consent. Doesn't matter if she is married or not, according to the law. Who she sleeps with is entirely her choice, fam. If the husband got played then its time to cut the losses and move on, nobody forced him to marry. The marriage is over anyway after this. Don't quote the commandments at me because if someone is not christian then the commandments could as well be a just a good story. The deputy governor should sue the guest house for allowing that husband into his room, and sue the husband himself for defamation, intrusion of privacy, and aggravated assault. But that's just me
