Results of the 2019 US Green Card Lottery (Diversity Visa 2019 / DV-2019) Now Available Online

Entrants who submitted applications for the Diversity Visa for the fiscal year 2019 (DV-2019, also known as the Green Card lottery) in October-November, 2017 can now check if they are winners of the lottery on the US State Department website.

The ‘DV Entrant Status Check’ portal opened at 12pm EDT on Tuesday, May 15th.

Applicants will need to enter their confirmation number, last and first name, and year of birth on the portal to check if they are winners.

Administrated by the Department of State, the lottery program makes 55,000 permanent resident visas (Green Cards) available to national of countries with historically low number of immigrants in the United States.

Kenya is one of the country whose citizens qualify to participate in the visa lottery program.

Winners of the DV-2019 lottery program will be eligible to migrate to the United States starting in January, 2019 after passing through mandatory interviews at the US embassies in their home countries.

The portal is available at https://dvlottery.state.gov.

Great thing is, spanish or portuguese, the link might just help. I haven't taken a single lesson in Portuguese...yet there is only ONE word I couldn't figure the meaning...BUT in context am good...

For all those who have invalid confirms, if u registered after Oct 22 you are good. If u registered before all confirms. are invalid. They restarted the program on Oct 22.

Drone advice! Don’t try to include anybody else in your official application! Not a wife or girlfriend or kids, if they were not in your original lottery application.
If you do, it will automatically disqualify your entryway!

If you’re that “demoralized” that you missed the free trips to America by a hundred fifty years, how about asking a so-called “African-American” to trade places with you? They claim to be oppressed and demoralized because their ancestors got the lucky cruise to America, albeit in steerage class.

What I’m hoping Donna meant is “due to the unfortunate circumstances most Africans were brought to this country 350ish years ago, there are black Americans of African descent who call themselves “African American” because they claim their homeland, the US, deprives them of equal rights and glorify their motherland. Just below the space for the confirmation number is a place for those who forgot their confirmation numbers. Follow that and use the email address used during the registration and with your details, and you'll be good to go.

For those that lost their confirmation numbers, all is not lost.
Load the www.dvlottery.state.gov/ESC site, check the entrance status and where you are to key in the confirmation number, right below it there's a tab that says "forgot confirmation number" select it and follow the instructions, it is very easy and it will give you the confirmation number. Just be careful not to confuse your sir, first & middle name. All the best.

Star, not true. You have no idea how many illegal immigrants are here in California working and paying local and State taxes. They are in construction, building houses, providing services like plumming, landscaping, fixing cars and so on. I personally know people who run their own businesses giving jobs to Americans while paying taxes to the State! - Or why do you think there are sanctuary cities? The answer is: because those people are a source of income to the State. Sorry to disappoint you but the Mexican nanny getting cash in her pocket every week is not typical. Besides, I agree that this lottery is not really good. I am all for merit-based immigration, just like President Trump.

The United States is such a mess. Building new homes & welcoming in new immigrants while some veterans & others that have fallen on hard times live in the streets. Just like how liberals are always championing civil rights & Islam at the same time. It just doesn’t make any kind of sense.
