Laikipia County Trolled for Inventing Sh450,000 Seven-Seater Car

Kenyans online have trolled the Laikipia County government over an innovation it showcased during the just concluded sixth annual Devolution Conference in Kirinyaga.
The Laikipia County government displayed an invention dubbed BJ-50, a four-wheel 'tuk-tuk' reported being worth Sh450, 000.
An article posted on the Laikipia County Government website states that the brains behind the innovation received orders for 26 units from “influential personalities” since its manufacture.
Governor Ndiritu Muriithi says the ‘car’ can carry up to seven passengers.
Photos of BJ-50 have gone viral on social media, with online users giving their verdicts on the innovation.
Majority of Kenyans online say the innovation brings shame to Kenya, questioning its price tag as well as quality.
@AfricaFactsZone tweets:"Made In Kenya cars, BJ-50. They costs only KShs450,000 ($4,505.42) each."
@shobanes notes: "Si niliwaambia Laikipia County ime jenga gari mka kataa kuamini."
@FauzKhalid says: "My daughter will sue the Laikipia County Government. They stole her drawing!
@AstronautKE mockingly notes: "It is time Counties started adopting symbols of innovation in their counties. We thank Nairobi and Laikipia for showing the way."
@AtGuru001 says:"Laikipia Governor Ndiritu Muriithi should be forced to travel back home from Kirinyaga in his “smokie trollies” as a punishment for bringing Kenya international shame."
@OnguruMeister:"@UKenyatta: The third pillar in my #Big4Agenda is Manufacturing. We will raise manufacturing sector contribution to GDP from 8.5% to 15%.
Laikipia: Hold my beer."
@FolFriends tweets: "Friends I'm extremely sorry for displaying our 'joke of the year' toy car. Although the 'innovator' did a lot of work to have this big toy, we know it is not scalable, sustainable and absolutely not a devolution product."

What a joke! Even my 9 year old boy can design a better looking car than this. There is no consideration to aerodynamics, impact safety or utility besides 7 seater crap idea. By the way Mr. author of the article, cars especially 7 seaters were invented a long time ago so you should consider editing your title.

Someone, somewhere is being taken for a ride. Watch out. I bet this was a fourth grader school project and the dad stole the idea. Give it back. Nothing to see here. There is no innovation here. Everything has already been invented. What a joke. There ought to be a law so stop this kind of BS.

Mimi sio ndugu yako! Truth has to be told which unfortunately a lot of us Kenyans would rather lie to each other that mediocre is great and not push ourselves to world class standards.
Nimetumia neno hili "Ndugu"…
