Nairobi Skyscraper with Glass Walkway Nears Completion

A skyscraper with a glass walkway is set to be opened in Nairobi in October this year.
Engineers are currently putting final touches on Le Mac Towers located in Nairobi's Westlands area ahead of its opening.
The Business Daily reports that Le Mac Towers will have a transparent glass footpath on its 24th floor, 126 meters high up in the sky.
The walkway's glass floor will offer a panoramic view of the Kenyan capital city.
“You no longer have to travel to spend a fortune to walk on a terrifying glass floor or bridge as it is right here in Nairobi. It is a 60mm thick see-through glass floor standing out around the property and is meant to beat the fear for heights,” says Ravi Vasta, the building's developer.
The multi-billion-shilling structure will also have a rooftop swimming pool, a gym, and children’s play area on the 24th floor.
The property will house offices on six floors and 24 floors of residential apartments. The 23rd floor will be home to a spa and a business center.
Ravi says the building was designed by Kenyan architect Sylvia Mueni.
“You no longer have to travel to spend a fortune to walk on a terrifying glass floor or bridge as it is right here in Nairobi. It is a 60mm thick see-through glass floor standing out around the property and is meant to beat the fear for heights,” Vasta says.
“We flew the architects to Dubai to see the concept as well as facilitated meetings with globally accomplished architects as we wanted to give Kenya a unique product that is globally competitive."
Glass-floor sky-walks are attractions in many developed countries such as China and Dubai.

Very glad Nairobians will be exposed to this adventure. Positive exposure brings positive outcomes and I hope more good deeds continue to happenin our motherland. I dread heights too but what a better way to combat that fear than to face it head-on?

Why not? it is Nairobi's turn to shine. On a second thought a section of the country will be walking on air as another section feed on air in the same country!
