Nairobi Hospital Begins Covid-19 Testing, to Charge Sh10,000

The Nairobi Hospital has received approval from the Health Ministry to carry out Covid-19 testing.

In a statement on Wednesday, the health facility said it has also been validated by the National Influenza Laboratory to offer Covid-19 testing services and has the capacity to examine 80 samples per day.

“The testing facility at the laboratory located at the Main Hospital on Argwings Kodhek Rd has the capacity to process 80 tests per day on a manual platform with the automation of the entire testing, on high throughput equipment expected to be in process by April 27th, increasing the testing capacity to 900 tests per day,” the hospital’s CEO Dr. Allan Pamba said in a statement.

He added that results will be released within six to 24 hours after samples are collected.

“The additional testing capacity will allow more cases to be identified and treated quickly to help manage this pandemic.”

“Clients will be allowed to go home after sampling and results will be emailed to them,” added Dr. Pamba.

The hospital will charge Sh10,000 for the Covid-19 test, also known as PCR SARS COV-2. So far, Kenya has confirmed 303 cases of the virus, 14 fatalities, and 83 recoveries.

Kenyans wake up!! For all other diseases people go to the hospital when they get sick. This Covid- 19 someone says they will test you when you are not sick. Further for that test they will charge you shillings 10,000.
The question becomes, is the sickness in the testing?
If there were individuals who were sick in February when as a country we started singing this song, shouldn't they have brought themselves to the hospital by now?
The question is: do we get sick when the master gets sick?
Let's wait and watch as the drama continues!!
We need to pray for protection from our enemies both within and without!! We are close to the end of slavery of the black man in the world.
Africans No Vaccinations!!No Vaccinations!! It will be poison (From France or elsewhere) ; No one has prevention; No one has a no cure!!

The government needs to appropriate these test kits from such money-making institutions, and use them to test wananchi. In a pandemic era, people should be ashamed of making a profit out of others' misery. Some can afford 10,000, but the government should provide the test to all Kenyans for free. We don't have enough test kits, and money should not determine who gets the test.
