DJ Who was Shot by Babu Owino Wants Attempted Murder Case Against the MP Withdrawn

A disk jockey (DJ) who was shot and wounded by Embakasi East MP Paul Ongili, alias Babu Owino early this year wants the attempted murder case against the politician withdrawn.

Felix Orinda, popularly known as DJ Evolve, filed an application to have the case withdrawn through his lawyer Kenneth Mumbo.

In documents filed in court, Orinda says that after intense deliberations with his family, they agreed he focuses on his health condition instead of the case facing Mr. Owino, which he claims has affected his healing process due to divided attention.

But the court granted the prosecution’s request for more time to assess DJ Evolve’s mental state before withdrawing the charges leveled against Owino.

They are further seeking to establish the motivation behind the decision by DJ Evolve and his family to withdraw the case.

“It is my considered view that the application by the prosecution is merited and once the DPP satisfies himself of the issues raised is expected that a comprehensive response will be given that will be able to guide the status of this case going forward,” reads court ruling.

The matter will be mentioned on November 9th, 2020.

Owino is said to have shot Orinda on the neck at B-Club in Nairobi’s Kilimani area on January 17th.

Orinda was admitted at the Nairobi Hospital for six months and underwent multiple surgeries before he was discharged in June to recuperate at home.

Following the shooting incident, MP Owino was arrested and arraigned in court, where he pleaded not guilty to charges of attempted murder and disorderly behavior while carrying a firearm. He was freed on a cash bail of Sh5 million pending the hearing and determination of the case.

I just wonder,
What would stop Babu Owino from shooting that DJ tomorrow AGAIN?
What will stop another MP from blatant abuse of their privileges in the future?
And;
What will stop such incidents? Nothing.

I’m not a lawyer but isn’t the case in the hands of the prosecutor? If Dj evolve wants the case withdrawn, he should serve in the alcoholic MPs defense as a witness. 😂😂. Only in Kenya. There was a money exchange somewhere. Dj evolve is an example of why we get what we do as Kenyans. We deserve it. We sell our souls for money.

Does that mean Owino won't face murder charges in if Evolve succumbed from the injuries? Why will the state be the complaint in case he expires? He must sign an agreement permitting Owino to-KILL ORINA AT WILL.Time has come for Noordin & Co.to licence killers. His predecessors had licenced Raila,Kabogo,Moi,Wanjiru,Joho, expired Moi,Biwort,Kamau,a.k.a,Kenyatta,Ntimama to kill anybody they wished.

Wrong. There was another case where a woman was caught red handed paying for the murder of her husband. The husband forgave her and woman was released.
There must be something very wrong with Kenya laws.
In a criminal case like this one, its the State vs Owino. The victim has no power to forgive the accused.
Let's do something about this anomaly.

Peni mbili aambiwe mimi siko kwa hio hesabu ya WAJINGA NYINYI.I remember very well advising Orinda relatives to revenge for their kin the same day muuaji Ongili shot him(Evolve).I even told told them to wait for his release on bond as it was difficult to hunt him while in remand.Killing Idiots with impunity is one of BBI's resolutions.

This is how the rich and the powerful get away with crime. Readers of this forum have commented over and over again about this issue.
Babu Owino knows too that as long as you are kissing UHURUS ASS, you're safe.
UKWELI NI KWAMBA KENYA INA WENYEWE.
Unjinga ni huu...Pesa mia mbili mbili,
Hata parents advised their son wrong.
But if Law was to be followed, Owino still needs to charged with Aggravated assault plus Attempted murder.
