"It Shall Rain Fire": MP Moses Kuria Warns Over Alleged Plot to Postpone 2022 Elections
Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has reacted to the alleged plan to postpone next year’s general elections due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Through his Facebook page, Kuria warned that the country will burn if President Kenyatta and his handlers try to postpone the elections. He indicated that all Kenyans want is for Kenyatta to complete his term and go home.
“I have heard enough doubters from Kieleweke and handshake say that the 2022 general elections could be postponed because of Covid-19. Let me advise you. If you try this there will be no demons in hell. They will all be in Kenya. It shall rain fire, brimstone, lava, and sulphuric acid,” Kuria wrote.
He added: “We don’t care whether it shall be Covid-22, Bubonic Plague, Malaria, HIV-AIDS, Gonorrhoea, syphilis, smallpox, chickenpox, Ebola, SARS, Alcoholism or whatever.”
In a separate post, the outspoken MP further called for the vaccination of all eligible Kenyans and the reopening of the economy.
Last month, President Kenyatta ordered a cessation of movement into and out of the disease-infected area comprising the counties of Nairobi, Kiambu, Kajiado, Machakos, and Nakuru.
This followed a spike in COVID-19 infections in the five counties, which account for over 60 percent of the country’s total caseload.
The president further banned all gatherings in the five counties and ordered the closure of places of worship and bars while hotels were directed to only offer takeaway services.

There are no vaccines to vaccinate all Kenyans. That is why we need mass production of vaccines through the TRIPS waiver at the WTO. Elections must go on, but the mass gatherings during campaign will be super spreaders for coronavirus. No need for such violent language. We want a peaceful Kenya.
