Eric Omondi Shows Off His New Sh141 Million Karen Mansion

Comedian Eric Omondi has flaunted a multi-million-shilling mansion he claims to be his.

Omondi posted a video of the seven-bedroom house located in the posh estate of Karen, Nairobi on his Facebook page. 

The self-declared president of comedy in Africa claimed the villa is worth Sh141 million, saying he spent Sh72 million for the construction and Sh69 million to buy the piece of land on which the house sits.

“This (house) is a culmination of my hard work in 14 years of comedy…I have been in the industry for a long time, and I need some peace and quiet place to create ideas,” said Omondi.

Omondi, who has been living in Kileleshwa, said he will move into the house on October 19th.

In a separate video, the comedian told off those claiming that the exquisite mansion does not belong to him, insisting that talent and comedy pays.

“If you went to America, Kevin Hart owns five houses because the American culture believes that hard work pays,” says Omondi.

He went on to display title deed number Nairobi/Karen/44443 to prove that he indeed owns the property.

The title indicates it was issued to Erick Otieno Omondi on September 7th, 2021.

The guy would have said oh yes if it was a muzungu buying the house! I assume he is a black man taking down his fellow man!

Now that Omondi (a black man) has bought the house, all kinds of suspicions have cropped up in his mind, and the minds of others who are like him! His negative advise to Omondi is a curse - oh no, no, no!!

Unfortunately black men all over the world do experience these hates when they appear to be making it in life! The Mzungu world taught us how to hate one another and we have perfected that art of gate! We have come to believe in the negative that a black man can’t achieve anything!

They try it and fail miserably and many kill themselves. Does Churchill show many recently died comedians ring a bell? Its kind of strange for a kikuyu man to be questioning omondi’s ability to buy a house after a long history of Kikuyus whining that luos are lazy!

Otiende it is entirely probably he came into his money honestly. You have to presume that with his social media presence, subscribers and views, he gets multiple streams of income coming in and doesn't really solely on his comedy career.

If its true that,Omondi made that kind of money doing comedy,I have to say that he was born at the right time "comedy wise".I personally dont think he is that talented. I would say he passes for average.I guess timing is everything.
Just like big name athletes of yesteryears did not make fortunes in sports,despite enormous talent,so did comedians of that era.
Yes how things have changed. Sports,and comedy used to be basically free entertainment. In fact even today in African,especially,Iam sure most people are slow to embrace comedy as a profession .I dont doubt that alot of work goes in to making people laugh,or get entertained.But how that turned in to multi million dollar industry has me scratching my head;especially seeing "clowns" making more money than doctors,lawyers,and teachers... Has society misplaced its values?
Good thing we have enough comedians.We need more honest doctors,teacher,preachers...ect. You get the drift-professions that really make a difference in bettering mankind.My two cents.
