Ruto Meets with Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts During US Tour

Deputy President William Ruto held a meeting with Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts during his ongoing tour of the US.
Ruto and Governor Ricketts discussed issues of mutual benefit between Kenya and Nebraska, particularly in the agriculture and livestock sectors.
“The State of Nebraska is home to the USA's most innovative agricultural and livestock sectors. This presents significant opportunities for knowledge, partnership and technology transfer for Kenya. The state is also a potential market for Kenyan tea and coffee,” said Ruto.
The deputy president was accompanied to the meeting by his wife Rachel Ruto, ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi, Turkana Governor Josphat Nanok, Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika, Kandara MP Alice Wahome, and economist David Ndii.
Ruto and his delegation also held a briefing with agriculture and natural resources scholars at Nebraska Innovation Campus, Lincoln, University of Nebraska in a separate meeting.
“Innovation, the adoption of modern technology and the latest scientific research can radically improve our agricultural sector, guarantee food security and alleviate hunger. In addition, it will provide surplus produce to earn farmers’ income. This is what we believe in; investing in people,” Ruto said through Facebook.
Ruto and his entourage left the country on Sunday for a 10-day tour of the US and UK, following invites from senior government officials and top policy institutes in Washington and London.
His presidential campaign secretariat said Ruto will participate in a conversation on foreign policy, the future of governance, and economic development in Kenya, East Africa, and the African continent.
He will speak at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, the Center for Strategic and International Studies, and at the University of Arizona's Washington Entrepreneurship Hub.
Ruto is also expected to meet officials of the State Department and the Pentagon as well as the US Government National Security Council (NSC) Advisor, according to the secretariat.
He will the head to London where he will meet senior UK government officials, visit the National Counter-Terrorism Center and speak at both the Commonwealth Secretariat and the Royal Institute of International Affairs (Chatham House). Ruto will also pay a courtesy call on the Archbishop of Canterbury, His Grace Justin Welby.
During the tour, Ruto will also hold meetings with Kenyans in the US and the UK to drum up support for his presidential bid.

Does Ruto know Nebraska has a population of 1.92 million? Can't sell a lot of coffee or tea to that state with fewer people than Nairobi, unless corn and wheat drink coffee. Plus, in the states, coffee and tea are marketed by multinational corporations like Walmart, and fast food companies. That's where the money is at. Lastly, the federal government is in charge of international trade, technology transfer and import/exports.
So, don't waste time in Nebraska, unless you are "benchmarking".

Ruto is seeking some American audience sympathy to confuse them! But American surely know this thief Ruto.
If those in Nebraska don’t know where the state of Mississippi is in the American map, how are they gonna know where kenya is on the world map?
They just see Ruto and then get confused if his blackness as they compare his black skin tone to the white washed skin of Waiguru and then wonder what he has been eating.
Ruto should have taken Cate Waruguru to run her dirty mouth for him since she might sound more credible if she threw a couple of Biblical verses out there while sagging her huge red 👄 lips.

Let’s not confine ourselves to some mental mediocrity by thinking that Nebraska is the only one state that will eventually buy Kenya’s produce.Nebraska cannot be ignored just because it’s population is 1.9 million people. Has a higher GDP than Kenya. It could as well be a hub in the western world. Moreover Nebraska has more to learn from in the agricultural sector. We fail every time just because we think everything is up for criticism.

I'm thinking not many governors cared to meet with him so he chose Nebraska, a state that isn't exactly a progressive state. Love of people who have dark skins is in short supply especially the farther you get from eastern Nebraska. Why not simply head south and west to Colorado which would be a better hub (outlook, attitudes, altitudes, scenery, technology, tourism, infrastructure and the state's innovative approach to weed -Kenya could learn something here.) Full disclosure - just closed on a house in Colorado

And yet Ruto is busy lying to our black sisters and brothers in America because they don’t read to know the conman is right in the same room with them.
Ignorance is a mere breeze to have Ruto lecture the world on whatever he is lying about. Kenya will be at a major risk if Ruto was to be elected president! You don’t put a country in charge of a thief.

He is trying to get markets for your coffee, tea , miraa potatoes etc and at same time looking to double the production from your farms. Not a bad idea for 107 million. Maybe it would have been better to lower that cost a little bit.

Pigsfarm , you sound knowledgeable enough to decipher the coded wheelbarrow economics. Wheelbarrow same as mama mboga, bodaboda is indeed economics from the bottom going up. Wheelbarrow economics is the economy that encompasses all the lower cadre jobs. Wheelbarrow in this case therefore is the symbol of the poor.
Let’s not feign ignorance for the sake of arguments.
