Sonko Ditches Azimio, Joins Ruto's Kenya Kwanza Alliance

Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has ditched Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya coalition to join Deputy President William Ruto-led Kenya Kwanza Alliance.

Sonko, who was recently disqualified from the Mombasa gubernatorial race on grounds of his impeachment as Nairobi governor, was welcomed to the Kenya Kwanza Alliance by Ruto at his Karen residence on Saturday.

He pointed out that he has decided to work with Ruto, who is eyeing the presidency in the forthcoming elections, since they share the same vision.

“Time is not on our side and I have had to sit down as a leader, think about what would be best for my people and I have come to the realisation that I should work with a government that shares the same vision for my people as I and one that benefits them,” Sonko said in a statement posted on his Facebook page.

“It is not about Sonko now, I have to think about the people of Mombasa and their future.”

Sonko further announced he will back United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party candidate Hassan Omar for the Mombasa governor race, citing frustrations by powerful individuals who were determined to stop his bid.

“I want justice to take its course. The system wants to fix me. Don’t crucify my people. Mr Odinga was the best presidential candidate, but I know what has transpired,” he said

As part of his agreement to join Kenya Kwanza, Sonko says he has been promised several government positions including one Cabinet Secretary (CS) post in the national government, three Principal Secretary (PS) slots, and four ambassadorial positions.

He has also been offered three County Executive Committee members (CECs) in Mombasa County, three Chief officers in Mombasa County, two CECs in Nairobi County and three Chief Officers in Nairobi County.

“With your blessings, I would want to get into this agreement with UDA, so that I can be assured of jobs and opportunities for my Mombasa and Nairobi people,” Sonko added.

Political WHORES at their best.
I UNDERSTAND that all have a right to endorse anything and everyone, it's their God given right, but when it comes to personal gains, then that's makes them WHORES.
That's why I said that there will be no meaningful change, if RAILA or RUTO becomes president. They sip from the same cup. They are from the same school of thought. All they care about is their personal gains and EGOS.
But unfortunately KENYANS are getting between KSH 100 and ksh 500 being bribed to vote for HYENAS,
It's sad but true.

Comrade Seneca,
Tell me who hasn't benefited from this monster called corruption.
RUTO minted money during youth for Kanu eras, during Mois reign.
Raila and family stole alot , the molasses plant, NYS FUNDS, EURO BONDS ETC,
If any of them is anti corruption, how comes they are targeting specific individuals?
Why not start from the beginning? The 1960s, how much has the kenyatta family stolen? How much has the Moi family stolen? How much are the DYNASTIES and families still stealing today?
I will repeat what I have said time and time again, sometimes you have to rip open an wound, get the pus out, before healing begins.
It's folks like you who really don't want to see the truth . You called me a tribalist, I'm not, I am a kenyan who has an open mind, a free mind, I don't take things at face value. Please do your research and see the ills that the DYNASTIES and GOONS have done.
Why did they go after Gachaguas ksh 200 million? Is Gachagua the only person who is corrupt?
How comes they are not going after the covid BILLIONS that most of it ended with UHURUS kins? Please don't get it twisted in your mind that I'm trying to say Gachugua is a saint. But, why don't they, the DYNASTIES return all the land that they stole ,the corporations that were ripped off?
All I had and I stand by my statement is ' There will be no significant change if RAILA or RUTO becomes president'.

These two shameless thugs don’t even trust each other. Each has stolen billions from Kenyans. Sonko cares less about Kenya shillings except his ugly fat belly.

Thieves are always on the look up on where will be a better harvest and move on with meaningless excuses to cover wananchi's eyes.

People must now turn they attention on how wealthily these politicians are from the last 2 elections and will get the bigger picture.

He was banned from holding any political office so how does jumping from one party to the next really help unless he hopes to rule by proxy. The Judiciary is going nowhere their ruling still stands stop blaming Raila and Azimio for your woes. When you were stealing they were not around .Not sure why this is even news not like the Kamba vote will determine the election especially not this late in the game

Now the true picture of Sisi Kwanza party colation is almost complete!
Any other thieves who want to join them is welcomed to! You'll have Ruto, Gachagua, Waiguru, Sonko, etc
Among them, they've plundered billions of Kenyan Shillings, all live in Mega mansions, and surround themselves with goons who're willing to kill on their behalf! Ati Kenya kwanza?? It's more like thieves kwanza, wakenya mwisho!
