We Will Impeach You, Senator Wamatinga Warns Nairobi Governor Sakaja for 'Disrespecting' Gachagua

Nyeri Senator Wahome Wamatinga has warned Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja that he risks being impeached following his disagreement with Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua over the management of the country’s capital.

While urging Governor Sakaja to tread carefully, Wamatinga said the ruling party may be forced to take action against him if he continues to disrespect the deputy president.

"We want to say Rigathi Gachagua is not your equal. If you continue joking, we will impeach you...chunga sana," the first-time senator said in Nyeri.

“Your [academic] papers belong to Gikomba. Those are bought papers. If you play with us we will impeach you," he added.

The senator’s remarks come barely two weeks after Gachagua slammed Sakaja over his administration’s plan to kick out matatus from the Central Business District (CBD), saying it would hurt businesses owned by people from Mt Kenya region.

Gachagua reminded Sakaja that he mobilized Kikuyus to vote for him in the August 9th elections, adding that he needs to slow down and consult before making such decisions

“I have told the Nairobi Governor that we will have a sitting with him because we are the ones who elected him. I mobilized Kikuyus in Nairobi to vote for him and called him. Any decision that he makes which may affect business in Nairobi, we must first sit and discuss,” Gachagua said.

He added: "I want Sakaja to note that all decisions that will negatively affect Mt Kenya people in Nairobi must be discussed. I have to be involved. We will not accept anything that troubles our businessmen.”

Rikathi has failed in his Dp job and now he wants to be the governor of Nairobi. He is using some useless Nyeri proxies to threaten Sakaja over something beyond their control. What kind of nonsense is this folks??
