Gachagua Heads to Botswana for Forbes 30 Under 30 Africa Summit

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua on Saturday left the country for Botswana where he will represent President Ruto in the Forbes ‘30 Under 30’ Africa Summit.

Gachagua, who is accompanied by Second Lady Pastor Dorcas Rigathi, underscored the importance of the summit in recognizing young entrepreneurs in various fields, adding that four Kenyans were awarded last year.

“I left the country this morning for Gaborone, Botswana, to represent our President William Ruto, at the second edition of Forbes 30 Under 30 Africa Summit. I am accompanied by my spouse,” stated Gachagua.

“Forbes 30 Under 30 recognizes outstanding young innovative entrepreneurs in Tech, the Creative Culture, Sports, Health, and Science among other fields. At least four very outstanding young Kenyans were awarded in 2022.”

The deputy president said the summit’s foundation of youth entrepreneurship relates to the Kenya Kwanza administration’s agenda.

“Youth entrepreneurship is central to the transformation of Kenya and, indeed, Africa. It is key to tackling unemployment in the continent, which stands at 12.7 percent," he added.

"Through the Bottom-up Economic Transformation Agenda, the Ruto Administration is contributing to the Africa Rising trajectory."

Gachagua further said he will use the trip as an opportunity to meet and engage with Kenyans living and working in Botswana.

RIGATHI:

Tumia "zoom." Siyo lazima uchome mali ya umma kwa kusafiri kwa ndege. Tumia teknolojia ya kisasa.

Joy riders. Moses Kuria is in USA yet they do not have money to pay civil servants. Rigathi, Ruto & so called CS need to get a pay cut of 1/2 of their salaries.
