Diaspora Alliance Lauds PS Roseline Njogu's Efforts to Promote Welfare of Kenyans Abroad

The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) diaspora movement, represented by its leader Danson Mukile, has lauded the work of the State Department for Diaspora Affairs which was recently established to protect and promote the interest of Kenya's citizens abroad.

Mukile, who is based in Washington D.C., states that the actions of Diaspora Principal Secretary Roseline Njogu have been effective, refuting the allegations of partiality in the functioning of the department. He dismissed the criticism hurled at Njogu as childish and superfluous.

“PS Roseline Njogu is well acquainted with the diaspora, given her own experience. That’s why President William Ruto entrusted her with spearheading the diaspora agenda within the national development framework. Roseline has witnessed her compatriots fall victim to unscrupulous individuals claiming to represent diaspora interests, and as a result, she is tirelessly working to streamline the challenges faced by the diaspora,” Mukile said on Monday.

Mukile says that Njogu's personal background as a member of the Kenyan diaspora would be enough to inform and guide policy touching on the welfare of Kenyans living abroad. He lauded her unwavering commitment to justice and advocating for fair treatment of Kenyans seeking employment in the Middle East. He also highlighted Njogu's attempts to implement the best practices for migrants, build relationships with diplomats and other professionals, and stay in contact with the various diaspora associations.

Mukile commends Njogu for her tireless dedication and noted that it had won her recognition from foreign governments and figures in the diaspora. He further singled out Njogu's effort in advocating for the diaspora whenever the President travelled abroad. Mukile also appealed for an end to online aggression and called for a unified approach to tackling challenges faced by the diaspora.

Who is Mukile to describe other peoples’views as childish? Was he speaking for himself,UDA or as who?Did he get something in the shs 1.4 allotment to diaspore affairs? I have never heard of UDA and Mukile or appointed him my spokesman despite living and working in Washington DC for years.

Kenyans in diaspora are not “Saviors” of the country Kenya/ the government of Kenya/ Kenyans in Kenya.

This delusion way of thinking needs to end.

This is what legalization of recreational pot has done to DC. So far the Diaspora team is ok, they have not done anything, except for a few trips here and there. Once they start work, we will update them on their performance.

Take care of Kenyans at home. Start there. Kenyans at home are families to the Kenyans abroad. You will give peace to Kenyans abroad once you take care of the Kenyans at home.
The primary challenge that Kenyans abroad face, is that they must help themselves and also help their families at home.
Ease their burden by helping those at home.
