Britain's King Charles III Set to Visit Kenya Later in the Year

Later this year, King Charles III will make an official visit to Kenya in a bid to prioritise the Commonwealth during his reign.
The visit will be the first for the King who will be accompanied by his wife Queen Camila. Although the exact date of the visit is unclear, reports suggest that it will take place in the autumn. The trip will also hold emotional significance for the King, as Kenya is where his mother, Queen Elizabeth, learned of her father's death, making her the heir to the throne.
Queen Elizabeth had visited Kenya with Prince Phillip less than a week before the news in a bid to start a world tour on behalf of the sick king. The King had planned to visit France, but the visit was cancelled in March due to security concerns. Next month, there is a scheduled event for King Charles III in France. On Saturday, May 6, he was crowned at Westminster Abbey with a lavish ceremony that included ancient traditions and opulence.
Despite the monarchy's struggle to stay relevant in modern Britain, the coronation showcased royal power with the presentation of an orb, sword, sceptre, and a 700-year-old oak chair. The highlight of the ceremony was the placement of the St. Edward's Crown, which is solid gold and adorned with jewels, atop King Charles' head. He declared that he was there to serve, not to be served and was presented as Britain's undisputed king in front of world leaders, foreign royals, dignitaries, and celebrities.
Meanwhile, Neil Wigan OBE has arrived in Nairobi to take up his position as Head of Mission at the British High Commission. The British High Commissioner-designate is set to begin his duties at the British High Commission in Nairobi.

He misses the colony, it was indeed beautiful, a white man's paradise, provided that the dirty, poor, smelly African was stowed away in the "reserve" so as not to offend the aristocratic nose. Welcome to a different Kenya, hope you enjoy it, at least you will be away from the awful British weather as we know it.

In his book, “ Not Yet Uhuru,” the late Jaramogi Oginga Odinga pointed out very clearly that the original name for the biggest lake in COHO (Continent of Human Origins) was known as “NYANZA.”
