Prophet Owuor Predicts Instability in 2027 Polls, Urges National Day of Repentance
Prophet David Owuor has warned that Kenya’s 2027 General Election will be marked by severe instability unless the country undertakes national repentance.
Speaking in an interview with journalist Samira Mohammed aired on TV47 and shared on the Ministry of Repentance and Holiness YouTube channel, Owuor said he had received a prophecy describing a period of intense political turmoil. He referred to visions of “unbelievable contestation” and a political environment he claimed would spiral “out of control”.
He described the coming election as potentially the most difficult period Kenya has faced since independence, warning that the situation could become nearly impossible to manage if corrective action is not taken. Owuor said the prophecy pointed to the re-emergence of powerful and uncontrolled forces, with particular emphasis on the mobilisation of younger generations.
While he declined to disclose specific details of what he said he had seen, he stressed the seriousness of the warning and urged the nation to prepare for instability Despite the severity of his message, Owuor said the outcome was not fixed.
He said that divine mercy remained possible and called on Kenyans to turn to repentance. He urged the government to organise a national day of repentance in 2026, which he said could prevent the crisis he had foreseen. He added that failure to do so would leave the country exposed to disorder.
The warning comes after earlier controversy in 2025, when reports circulated claiming that Owuor had predicted the end of the world on 2 August of that year, a claim he later rejected as false. He has also recently drawn public interest following a rally in Nakuru, where he said that participants had been healed of chronic illnesses, including HIV and AIDS.
