Raila Rejects Provisional Presidential Results Being Announced by IEBC, Calls Them "Fake" and "Fictitious"
National Super Alliance (NASA) presidential candidate Raila Odinga has disputed the provision results being reported to the public by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), calling the results “fictitious” and “fake.”
Raila says the results being announced have not been accompanied by signed Forms 34A. He said these are not the results from polling stations, saying that the results are being generated by machines and that NASA’s tally has him leading President Uhuru Kenyatta.
While protesting the results, Raila insinuated that the killing of IEBC ICT Director Chris Msando had to do with the results being announced.
With 57.1% of the polling stations reporting, President Uhuru of Jubilee Party currently has 6,,044,745 (55.27%) votes, followed by Raila Odinga of ODM with 4,805,159 (43.93%) votes. Joseph Nyaga, an independent candidate, is a distant third with 26,866 (0.25%) votes.
