Former MP ‘Begs’ New Nyeri Governor for a County Job

Former Nyeri Woman Representative Priscilla Nyokabi has pleaded with the newly sworn-in Governor Mutahi Kahiga to find her a place in his county government.
Speaking during a requiem mass of late Nyeri Governor Wahome Gakuru held at Dedan Kimathi University grounds on Wednesday, the former MP said she was ready to take up any position offered by Kahiga, since she lost her seat in the August 8th election.
"Give me a job. I am now jobless but very ready to serve if given the opportunity," Ms Nyokabi pleaded.
Nyokabi had been invited by the new governor to address the gathering after spotting her at the auditorium.
Mutahi took Oath of Office on Monday as the fourth Nyeri Governor following the demise of immediate former governor Wahome Gakuru, who died while receiving treatment at Thika Level 5 hospital following the crash that happened at Kabati area along Thika-Murang'a highway. He will be laid to rest on Saturday.
