Supreme Court Judges Received Threats after Nullifying President Uhuru's Win, Deputy Chief Justice Mwilu Says

Deputy Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu now claims that Supreme Court judges received threats after they invalidated President Kenyatta's August 8th, 2017 victory.

Addressing Members of Parliament during a post-election seminar in Mombasa on Monday, Ms Mwilu, however, stated that she was personally not cowered by the threats.

“We were threatened, that is for sure. I must confess because I don’t know how to clothe a lie,” she said.

She was responding to a question by Kapenguria Member of Parliament Samuel Moroto, who sought to know if the threats influenced subsequent rulings.

“You were threatened and now all the gains the Judiciary made are being taken away. The new Constitution gave you lots of powers and the Judiciary has been done a good job. But the attacks by the politicians seem to have shaken you. Can you be frank and tell us the truth?” Moroto asked.

In response, Mwilu said: “I am not sure whether the threats cowed the judges as to affect our subsequent decisions. But the threats never entered my soul and I thank God it never did."

I remember before the 2013 presidential election, the then Chief Justice Willy Mutunga received death threats when principled lawyers such as Mutula Kilonzo had openly challenged Uhuru's presidential election stand while his case was still pending in Hague. For those with "warthog memory," Uhuru and Ruto and a few others had been charged at the ICC in Hague for committing crimes against humanity after the 2007-2008 election. Over 1,300 people lost their lives and up to this moment, no one has been arrested, prosecuted, or even fined in our court systems.

The late Mutula Kilonzo had made a strong stand against allowing anyone accused of slaughtering Kenyans and another supervising the church holocaust in Kiambaa church in Eldoret to vie for any elective position.

A few people of Kenya have morally degenerated to such an extent that they are willing to kill (Jacob Juma & Chris Msando) easily or give death threats such as the ones that Willy Mutunga and Philomena Mwilu received from our closet terrorists members of our republic.

Brainless jubilee keyboard soldiers here attacking Justice Mwilu as usual. With your myopic/ short circuited brains you can't remember your muthamaki called justices wakora while drunk and promised to "REVISIT" whatever, and as matter of criminal record Justice Mwilu car was sprayed with bullets killing the poor Justice Driver. WHAT DO YOU CALL THAT?

Philomena Mbete Mwilu is a NASA sympathizer or if you like a hyena wearing a sheepskin.
She is on record for sleeping with that silly and stupid looking NASWA senator from Busia Amos Wako who also happen to be the father of her two children.
This woman cannot even read her own written judgements and you wonder how she became the DCJ?
Saying that judges received death threats is peddling lies, hate and innuendo.
For the good of country and her people, this woman and her boss Marsha should be recalled and reinterviewed by the JSC if we need to reintroduce sanity and integrity in the Supreme court.

The two Kamba worrious, Ngumbau Imara and Mbingu, we understand where you are comming from. The other day the grand ngumbauless ordered your kin to burn vehicles belonging to a certain community and we have all seen the results. I hate to say this, but there is too much hatred in your community, that is sometimes mistaken for witchcraft.

Uhuru and Kuria: WHERE ARE YOU AND WHAT ARE YOU DOING?

Please tame your people to stop their arrogance against the Kamba people. The song about "Ikamba" should be put into the category of hate speech. It is sad that you are silent when the seeds of hatred are being planted by a few irresponsible members of the Gikuyu community.

Here is the song:
