President Kenyatta's 'Anatangatanga' Remarks about DP William Ruto Cause a Stir [VIDEO]

President Kenyatta on Wednesday caused a stir after making comments about Deputy President William Ruto's numerous tours across the country during an event in Nairobi’s Eastlands area.

Addressing Kenyans after launching the Regeneration Program which will see roads constructed in 11 constituencies in Nairobi’s Eastlands, President Kenyatta said: “Hii kijana anaitwa Ruto unajua kila weekend anatangatanga kila mahali… atakua anapitia hizi machorochoro mkiona kuna kitu inaenda konakona mumuambie. Tuhakikishe kazi ya wananchi imefanyika… Tumekubaliana? Wangapi wanasema tuache siasa tuende kazi?” posed Uhuru as the crowd cheered.

Loosely translated: “The Deputy President loiters around these areas a lot and if you see anything wrong with the progress of the project you can inform him. Let us ensure services are delivered to Kenyans.”

President Kenyatta's statement left Kenyans online talking, with many claiming the Head of State's remarks about his deputy were demeaning and an insult.

Here's what a section of Kenyans on Twitter had to say about President Uhuru's comments.

@mstivo said: "I think the anatangatanga words are very demeaning to your deputy mr. President @UKenyatta . The only other day you used such words against someone was on the afternoon of september 1 2017 in which you both did the 'kutangatanga'. His excellency @WilliamsRuto  deserves more."

@Benttrends: "The President knows his Deputy anatangatanga instead of working for the nation. Instead of admonishing him, the President asks Kenyans to do it instead. In other words, he knows his subordinates are misusing public resources but does nothing about it."

@Kaduki_Sir: "Mr President @UKenyatta .....That statement of "Ruto anatangatanga" @WilliamsRuto not well received by many. There seems to be more than meet the eye. Let us not create tension, we need to watch our statements."

@bosirejoffa:"President Kenyatta is smart. He has noted that his deputy is just politicking and doing nothing in his official capacity. The anatangatanga phrase befits DP ruto's behaviour nowadays."

@g_rigah said:"Kiswahili kweli ni kingumu yaani alisema "Ruto anatangatanga".If you read his full statement or translated one, you'll understand what he meant."

However, in a tweet, State House dismissed any suggestion that this was an attack by Kenyatta on his deputy. The President had been accompanied by DP Ruto, Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko, and Transport Cabinet Secretary James Macharia among others.

I think Uhuru was trying to put it mildly but fact is, Ruto is busy trying to be 2022 president. He will be lucky to be president if Uhunye fails to realize his four-point goal/plan. He will fall like the dominoes.

Why blame Ruto? There is a hidden agenda in the so called "Handshake". If it's good for the whole country, it's intentions should have been disclosed three months ago. It may be meant to make the Dynasties retain power, if this is so, it will come crumbling like thunder-Ruto, is only acting in self defense

I am so excited about what has happened lately and I cannot keep silent. Some of you know my life very well. You know how happy I and my family was. Those of you who have visited me at my home you know that i had everything a lady wishes for in life. Life was good but it is hard to explain how things changed for the worse so quickly. I first heard rumors that my man is seeing another woman. In a short time I found out that it was true. When I confronted him, he left me for that woman. He blocked me on all social networks. Luckily a caring old friend of mine May took me to this Mama Anina +27603051423 Love Spells Caster South Africa who had also helped her when she had a similar problem. She performed special prayers for me, cleansed me from bad luck & also fixed my financial problems. A few days after the rituals, my man came back home asking for forgiveness. I could not believe it. We recently got married and am so happy and excited. , I thank you my friend for standing with me. Friends, If you are having any problems in your life or marriage, protection, or Job spell. Uhuru is NOT President of Kenya; because he is a Side Show. No wonder Many things he says when he is Drunk or even "Stoned"; and I mean really High on Alcohol and Drugs make some of Us Wonder. And that's the Problem with Making (not Voting) a Drunk and Alcohol ADDICT a President. In Conclusion: Uhuru is Not the Leader of Kenya; instead it's the Kiambu Mafia that is Leading Kenya (with some Former Gay Classmates (ALUMNI) of his former St. Mary's High PULLING Strings in the Background). These 2 Mafia Groups (Kiambu and Gay Mafia) are the ones Leading Kenya; not Uhuru.

I'm sure Kenyatta meant it differently but the social media police have to analyze every word to demonize .The fact that fools are talking about 2022 elections is so sad , a country where people eat and breath politics and others are very happy here to start their hate full throttle - that is what keeps them happy aka ..................... you know yourself
