I'm Being Intimidated for Doing My Work, Says Interior CS Fred Matiang'i

Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i says that he is being harassed and intimidated for doing his job.

Speaking in Kisii, Matiang'i said his fight against white collar crimes has earned him enemies who are now keen to bring him down, but stated that he will not succumb to the pressure.

"I will not be stopped by the intimidation. I was summoned to appear before parliamentary committees 11 times in a week. That is part of the intimidation, but the fight must go on," Matiang'i stated.

Matiang'i further alleged that  cartels have paid mainstream media and bloggers to taint his name.

"We know who meets who at night because I’m the Interior CS. I will not lie to please people. If it’s poison I will say it."

"I’m a son a peasant but I have risen to be a CS. It’s the will of God for me to be where I am. God sits on his throne. Nobody will get a leadership position that God has not planned for you. I will continue speaking the truth and those people should stop their nonsense," he vowed.

He was flanked by Transport Chief Administrative Officer (CAS) Chris Obure, MPs Innocent Obiri (Bobasi), Alfa Miruka (Bamachoge) and Jimmy Angwenyi (Kitutu Chache).

A Securicor officer can Oviously do Better job than you. And tbats why you've been doing Other people's work and going Beyond or Under the Interior Security reponsibilities (to please people and Even cover-up for the Big fish). My Recommendation: Go back to Education (for you know Nothing about being an Interior Security minister).

Guest1 - do you even know what you want? If you are looking for perfection, you'll never find it...not even yourself. Matiangi must have his short-comings because he's human, but for Kenya, he is one leader, (among 90%), with his heart and head in the right place. Perfection is just but a mirage!

Matiang'i, you have Kenyans support. Continue doing your work. Disclose to the public those who are intimidating you and let the public deal with them at the ballot. Times are changing and the real God is with you. Do your work the best way you know how. May the real God bless you and bless Kenya!!

You are doing a wonderful job as the interior CS but you could even be spectacular if you deal with the Chinese who have infiltrated Kenya living in Eastlands selling mayai gonga, purporting to be expertrites. We need Kenya to be safe first and foremost and you are the right person for the job.

@Guest1, you can't see with your eyes closed. Except for this impartial man that you loathe, all the others are compromised leeches whose only claim to power is dynastic lineage, nepotism and tribalism: Uhuru is our packaged delivery from Moi, Kalonzo was hand delivered to Moi by his sycophant Mulu Mutisya, Moses Mudavadi bequeathed his only begotten son Musalia to Moi to line him up on the eating trough. Ruto was Moi's boy scout along with Jirongo during the Moi heyday. Raila is the king of violence, destabilization, master of confusion and anxiety corruption and looting in the nation. He (Raila) is the mother of all corruption and evil in kenya. If it were not so, why did violence, mistrust, anxiety and animosity cease once he abandoned fellow NASA-lites and took his solo handshake to Harrambee house? If there is a rapist in town, the crime comes to a holt if the right culprit is apprehended. Once Raila stopped his madness, violence stopped in the country. Matiang'i is a regular son of Kenya out to fight for regular mwananchi. He is of course a threat to all the eaters-their families and friends because they don't want their lifeline of corruption derailed.

Mheshimiwa Ndugu Mwororo:

Mheshimiwa Ndugu Matiang'i:
