US-Based Law Firm to Seek Justice for Kenyan Victims of Ethiopian Plane Crash

A law firm based in Seattle, United States has announced it will be seeking justice for Kenyan victims of the Ethiopian Airlines plane crash.

In an advertisement in the Daily Nation, Friedman Rubin said it will partner with another law firm, Shakespear N. Feyissa to pursue justice for the Kenyan nationals who perished in the Nairobi-bound flight on March 10th, 2019.

The team made up of nine lawyers will arrive in Nairobi on Sunday for a meeting with families of the victims.

The law firm said selected family members will go on due diligence trips to the US as their lawyers build their case.

Friedman and Rubin law firm boasts of winning several high profile cases including one where they represented a former Air Force mechanic who contracted Hepatitis C from a routine medical procedure. He was awarded compensation worth Sh10.5 billion.

The Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft went down six minutes after leaving Bole International Airport, killing all the 157 people onboard.

The accident raised questions about the safety of the new Boeing model that also crashed in Indonesia in October.

A recently released report showed that Ethiopian Airlines pilots wrestled with controls to stay aloft but the plane went down after restoring a computer system that was ordering the nose down because of faulty sensor data.

36 Kenyan nationals died in the crash.

Very much with you on that @Kenya. These law firms could take all the money from the victims. Someone needs to read them their rights before hand and advocate for them. Boeing I hope settles this out of court because it will cost them.
