Burglars Break into Mudavadi’s Karen Home, Steal Household Items

Police in Nairobi are investigating an incident where burglars broke into Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi’s Karen home and stole household items.

The two burglars are said to have accessed the property, which is guarded by armed police officers, by jumping over the perimeter wall and made away with a 40-inch Samsung television set and a gas cylinder.

The incident was reported by Mudavadi’s son Moses, who was informed by their domestic worker that one of the TV sets and the gas cylinder were missing.

This prompted police to review CCTV footage and established that the incident happened on Sunday afternoon.

“After review of CCTV footage, it was established that two male strangers gained entry into the compound by jumping over the perimeter wall between 1630hrs and 1700hrs where one of them covered one of the CCTV cameras with a plastic object in order to hide their identity,” reads a police report.

“They then accessed some rooms at the compound and stole the property before escaping.”

Police said the affected rooms had not been attended to for long.

Mudavadi, a former vice president, deputy prime minister, and MP, and his wife were not at home at the time of the incident.

Police established that the electric fence at the compound was not working at the time of the incident.

The thieves are just getting a share of what MDVD has stolen from them over the years. There is no case for the petty thieves to answer here since they learnt the art of stealing from politicians. Tit for tat! Case closed!

Ofcourse he was recorded...
Anyway, I refuse to accept that only a TV,and agas cylinder were stolen.I would think the thieves made a way with Mudavadi's presidential Rolex watch, and Madam's jewelry box. He stands a better chance of getting the Rolex back...
Was the electic fence diactivated,or does it kick on at a certain time?

Say what? I read a newspaper report of why Nigerians are resorting to 'Japa" (migration to other countries through all means possible) and I am seeing we will soon be doing 'japa" to be safe somewhere. Has anyone seen those multi-million schillings homes in Kiambu County that are empty because the rich owners vacated them due to constant night time attacks? Kama uko diaspora and you are doing well, kaa huko.

@Mlandizi, you say,"Kama uko diaspora and you are doing well, kaa huko,"I might add that even kama you are not doing well in diaspora,I believe one stands a better chance of having abetter life there than in Kenya.Unless of course the country you are living is some kind of hostile to blacks like the Arab world.Even if you break the law,and you have the misfortune of serving time in jail or prison, your standard of living there would still be better.

Two male strangers gained entry in broad day light, into a compound guarded by armed police officers. I rest my case.

Forbid he was there! Can’t imagine someone’s fatty, saggy yet short greasy balls getting chewed and spat out by the greedy greyhound dogs! LMFAO!

These politics are quick to report bad news when they are directly affected. They think they are far much better than the regular Joe. Does this guy understand many other Kenyans got items stolen today but they are just quiet? Give us a break MDVD.
