President Ruto has hit out at Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition leader Raila Odinga over the planned anti-government demonstrations.

Speaking at a church service in Kapsabet Showground, Nandi County on Sunday, the president claimed the protests are aimed at causing chaos and destruction of property.

He noted that Odinga has no legitimate reason to call for mass action, adding that the protests are part of a ploy to advance his political agenda.

“Raila Odinga has no reason at all to call for protests. The protests are meant to destroy people’s property. That’s his philosophy, that’s how he plays his politics. We will not accept that,” said Ruto.

He further dismissed Odinga’s demand for his administration to lower the cost of living, saying the opposition leader was responsible for the high cost of living in the country following his handshake with former President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Ruto insisted that while he is willing to engage with opposition leaders to discuss the country’s future, he will only do so in a constitutional and lawful manner.

“I am ready to engage with any leader if we are discussing the future of our country, the destiny of our nation in a constitutional, legal manner. But we are not going to engage in anarchy, we are not going to be threatened with ultimatums,” he stated.

“You are not going to threaten us with ultimatums and chaos.”

The president indicated that police will provide security during the protests and will also deal with anyone attempting to cause trouble.

“The police will do their job according to the law, they will ensure the rights of everybody are protected: those who want to protest and those who want to go about their businesses and their jobs,” he said.

Samoei:

When President Uhuru Ngina Kamau was in power, you totally neglected your duties by campaigning 24/7 and working on your doctorate.

I salute the former president for warning the people of Kenya against casting their vote for your presidency. You have been at work for about six months and it seems as if you have been there six years.

Bwana president, I will only feel good about our beautiful country when bullets start flying to crash the head of the snakes! Appeasement and kid gloves never works with tyrants. Only bullets does the job! You are just being weakened if you’re not firm with finality!!!

Raila will go down in history as having achieved nothing for his people and as the Lord of chaos in Kenya.
Raila will die an old, angry, frustrated man who never had a real vision neither for his people nor for Kenya as a whole.
Raila has destroyed his legacy!!
An old man who never grew up to have value for his people or country. He only used the two for selfish reasons.
If Raila doesn't shine, he does not stay.
A billionaire who never held a job other than politics.
May He live long enough to see the country move to peace during his lifetime, for shame to cover his face.

He will follow his dad having reigned but never ruled. After four handshakes and 20 years he must retire but he believes in delusions

Even Moi called Hon. Matiba and Hon. Kubai "thugs" who were out to destabilize the country. Because he did not want his corrupt leadership to be challenged!
The results of their actions are the 5-yearly elections you see in Kenya today!
For there to be real change, someone has to step up and challenge the establishment!
You might not like Raila's tactics but you cannot question his loyalty to the republic, and his dedication to democracy!
Ruto has never worked a day as a private citizen! He doesn't know your pain, your hunger, your struggles!
He has worked for Kanu and the government since he graduated from college.
