Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki has asked Kenyans to trust that President William Ruto has the nation's best interests at heart.
Speaking during a church service at Kenya Assemblies of God in Sagana, Kirinyaga, the CS stated that Ruto's vision for transforming Kenya is considerable and will be achieved. He further expressed that the President is devoted to seeking divine direction in his works.
"Just like the late Mwai Kibaki, President Ruto will take Kenya very far; he will not leave it where he found it," Kindiki said.
In a statement during the Madaraka Day celebrations, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua asked citizens to give Ruto time to steer the country into economic prosperity. The DP conveyed that Ruto has an ambitious plan in mind but will need some time to make it a reality.
On his side, Ruto denied claims of ditching promises made during the campaign period. He affirmed plans to liberate the people from poverty by generating job opportunities and strengthening the economy. During the Madaraka Day Celebrations at Moi Stadium in Embu, Ruto maintained that his regime will not partake in power-sharing with the Azimio.
The President declared that his government will implement initiatives to aid farmers in increasing food production and creating employment opportunities to expand the tax base. He also mentioned that they will beef up aggregation centres across the 47 counties to enhance value and earnings.
"We are dedicated to safeguarding the hard work of every Kenyan," he said.

Really Kindiki? What scripts are you reading from? Kibaki had turned a dire economic situation within a few weeks of taking over the government. Ruto has completely destroyed Kenya in the nine months he has been in office. Ruto ain’t no Kibaki by any measure!
Kindiki is decent man but if not, careful he might tarnish his name defending Ruto. Ruto is following Moi footsteps.
ok, I shall sit, sip tea and wait for this to happen
I agree...if only the noisemaker of all time could shut it up and let WSR show us what he's offering. We will not be happy with all decisions that will be made, but some good will definitely be done.
