Raila Alleges Plan to Print Excess Ballot Papers

National Super Alliance (NASA) presidential candidate Raila Odinga claims that there is scheme by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to print excess ballot papers to rig the August 8th general elections against his favor.

The former Prime Minister said that two million extra votes were cast in the 2013 general election, citing it as the reason why the opposition outfit was opposed to ballot printing of the August 8 polls by the Dubai based firm, Al Ghurair.

“We now know the truth. Everybody knows what they did in 2013 concerning printing of ballot papers. That’s why they want this company to print extra ballot papers,” Raila Odinga said.

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader was speaking when he received a delegation of leaders from Kiambu County who ditched Jubilee for NASA.

Raila expressed confidence that he will trounce President Uhuru Kenyatta in the August contest, hitting out at the president for calling on Kalonzo to ditch NASA for Jubilee.

“NASA represent the face of Kenya. This country is going to face a social economic revolution. We are in a process of transforming our country. We want to tell our opponents that change is coming. Jubilee can’t win. We are going to talk about issues affecting Kenyans. We will tell them we have solutions,” said Raila.

“August 8 will mark the beginning of the change we as NASA intend to bring to the country,” said Raila Odinga.

Odinga accused Jubilee of insisting on having Al Ghurair awarded the ballot printing contract because it belonged to their friends. “The company will print extra ballot papers,” he added.

RaO stop trying to precipitate a constitutional crisis.Al ghurai is not going to steal. Alghurai and all Kenyans are going to be sufficiently vigilant. Uhuruto are going to beat you just like they beat you in 2013.Stop this propaganda of crying stealing ,stealing, stealing .What is going to happen is that Kenyans are going to vote against you.Kenyans are going to reject you.Kenyans are going to show you the boot. You have to have the courage to accept defeat.Just like Obama was courageous enough to accept defeat.Kenyans are tired of a politician who is always trying to take the masses to the brink and precipitous of chaos just to have his way.Kenyans want Peace.By the way if another company was given the tender, who is to say that RAO is not going to cry stealing and rigging in that situation as well, causing the country to be in constitutional crisis. Kenyans are getting to the point where they are tired with RAO..They are fed up with these Rao propaganda. They want to see him retire from politics.Kenyans want to see UHURUTO continue to lead the country in a Peaceful manner.Kenyans want to see more development in the country.Vote UHURUTO. Vote Jubilee.

@Mkenya Halisi. Nobody is going to follow this madman's madness. The mistake that Nasa leaders keep making is that they forget, that even NASA supporters don't want chaos.Nobody wants chaos.Everybody wants peace. Therefore nobody is going to follow him to the chaotic destination that he is trying to take us.Instead.Kenyans will go to the polls on time.Kenyans will vote for Peace.Kenyans will vote for UHURUTO.

He wanted the tender to go to one of his friends so he can get kitu kindogo out of the deal, but since that is not happening, that is why they went to court to have the contract cancelled, however time has to be allowed for printing and delivery. Raila has nothing to offer us except cry that his votes were stolen, in 2013 he had no evidence, he just had a feeling that his votes were stolen, so we should expect nothing less except the same thing over and and over, but this is it.

Are these stories true? Almost everyday Raila has a story to tell eg 80 police officers following him 2 days ago, printing excess ballot papers etc. If they are made up stories people should learn from Trump. He did not stop all the stories he was telling during the campaign when he became the president. They will need to hire Sean Spicer to defend Raila all the made up stories

Mark my words,if Raila wins then the election will have been free and fair. If he loses it will have been stolen. That is how the goon operates and thinks we are all fools.

This Rao is just preparing the country into chaos. All these complains even before elections is nothing but another way of saying we wont concede defeat even if they loose honestly. Rao thrives on wars and confusion thats why hebisbalways creating such environment. An Environment that he is so comfortable with. My Advice to the youths and every kenyan out there is that don't let yourself be used after these elections tafadhali ... you will be killed and you will be forgoten , this Man will continue his next mission comfortably with his family when wewe mjinga umekufa na hata hujulikani mahaali ulikufia.
I know for fact that he wont concede defeat as he mentioned before , either by "hook or crook" we will be in power so what does that exactly mean?
The govt has gave in to all their demands including disbanding the former IEBC board led by Hassan , the current was formed by both parties but tena anaanza kunungunika.
Sorry to say but i can see the repeat of 2008 coming this August. God forbid .
Vijana Msitumiwe there are legal institutions created ti deal with such cases.
