DP Ruto: Attack on My Home Was a Scheme to Cause Tension
Deputy President William Ruto has spoken about the Saturday attack on his Sugoi home in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County.
Speaking on Sunday at Ihura stadium in Murang'a, the DP claimed that the attack was a plot to cause disunity among Kenyans and urged Kenyans to remain united.
"I know many people are aware that I had visitors yesterday.... but I want to say that those who think they will frustrate our unity or undermine our progress will not succeed," he said during the installation of Bishop Timothy Gichere as head of Anglican Church's Mount Kenya Central diocese.
"I want to ask all of us not be distracted by the schemes and designs of people who are against our unity and progress as a country," he said.
Inspector-General of Police Joseph Boinnet on Sunday said the intruder attacked a police officer manning the gate, gaining entry, then accessing firearms in the armoury box.
The elite Recce Squad managed to kill the attacker on Sunday morning after an 18-hour siege which left one police officer dead and another injured.
"The gunman was using different guns to confuse security forces that they were many," Rift Valley Regional Coordinator Wanyama Musiambo said.
"The intruder breached the outer gate, and not the inner gate, which is under tight security, that leads to the residence," he said, adding that investigations into the identity and motive of the intruder are ongoing.

This appears to be a staged act. Why attack when the occupants are not in . Nothing of value was taken so exactly what or who were the attackers after. This was meant as a distraction .An IEBC official lost his life so that members of a certain party could rig the élections. So what happens if they do not win. How many other lives will be lost .Why have the leaders of the two parties not come out and condemned the killing instead of having their deputies address the issue are they not the greatest benefactors.Jubliee and NASA Kenya does not belong to you.

Ruto is a criminal and should be arrested. He belongs in Kamiti prison. This is the man who stole Muteshi's land and was found guilty. In addition, he raped a 16 year old girl while still married and claiming to be a christian and refused to support his illegitimate daughters. In a true functioning democracy, Ruto would be rotting in jail now.
My dear Kenyans, let us get rid of criminals posing as leaders by not re-electing them.
