Raila Visits Family of Slain IEBC ICT Director Chris Msando

National Super Alliance (NASA) chief Raila Odinga took time off the high political temperatures and activities to visit slain Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission Information Communication Technology manager Chris Msando's family in Nyayo estate in Embakasi, Nairobi on Tuesday.

Accompanied by Embakasi East constituency MP-elect Babu Owino, Gem MP-elect Elisha Akuba, Siaya Senator James Orengo among other leaders, the former Prime Minister visited the family to condole with them.

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader requested for a private meeting with the members of family before leaving and lamented how the family was left to mourn alone.

"It's very sad that no IEBC official has visited the family ever since this whole thing came up. Nobody has come up to condole with the family," Raila said, and emphasised that justice should be done.

"It's a heartbreaking and unbearable pain to the young family. It is a Kenyan tragedy. No one has a right to tear at the fabric of life which another man has painfully woven for himself and his children. Msando's death has degraded our nation," noted Raila.

The ICT head was gruesomely killed a few days to the August 8th general elections. Autopsy reports indicated that Msando was strangled to death. His body was found dumped in a forest in Kikuyu area in Kiambu County.

RAO, why did it take you so long to go and grieve with the family? Mr Statesman, we expected you there the day after. RIP Chris Chege Msando.

@Sokora, Actually RAO did meet with the family immediately after the body was brought to the funeral home. Google it and after you find facts you will give him credit that he deserve for showing up. Give credits where it's due.
