Two Kenyans File Petition against Raila, Kalonzo at the International Criminal Court

Two Kenyans have lodged a petition at the International Criminal Court (ICC) against National Super Alliance (NASA) chiefs Raila Odinga and his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka.

The two, Martin Nkari and Kenneth Otieno want the Hague-based court to investigate the two opposition leaders for what they termed as “inflammatory conduct” and other crimes.

Nkari and Otieno are secretary and chairman of the International Policy Group (IPG), respectively and have jointly hired the services of a Canadian law firm to petition ICC Chief Prosecutor Fatou Bensouda to launch probe on Raila and Kalonzo on grounds of violence being witnessed in anti-IEBC demonstrations called by the opposition.

"On Friday, an intentionally recognised Canadian law firm, Watson Jacobs McCreary LLP, submitted papers to the court and they were formally received by Ms Patricia Castro, and then onto the Prosecutor’s office," reports the Standard.

An official at the Netherlands-based court confirmed to the Standard that it received the petition in an email sent on Friday at 4:41pm. The petition has been registered under OTP-CR-322/17.

The petitioners cite “ethnic violence, mobilisation and profiling, rape, sexual and gender-based crimes, targeted aggression, violent utterances and constant call to violent demonstrations and call to arms” as the grounds of their petition.

“If the prevailing volatile situation in Kenya does not get urgent attention and action from the ICC, we apprehend mass atrocities, ethnic profiling, violent ethnic mobilisation, mass displacement of persons, destruction of property, rape, sexual and gender-based crimes and complete breakdown in law and order in the period leading to the October 26 2017 election, during the election, and after the election,” their petition signed October 9, 2017, reads in part.

They have filed video clips and newspaper cuttings to support their plea.

The two should be at the Hague court facing charges of causing anarchy, murder and destruction of property.

It is about time. Forty people have already lost their lives in the street demos. The blood of these people rest with Raila and Kalonzo. They can blame the State but their actions are the base causes of these deaths. Hopefully, the ICC takes this matter seriously.

Why are some Kenyans in determined to embrass us Kenyans in Diaspora.

These people have no case.
Demonstrations and picketing are protected by the Kenyan constitution.

As far as police brutality and shooting of demonstratora is concerned, Raila and Kalonzo are not members of Kenya Police.

NAsA is a terrorist party. They have looted and caused terror and fear on Kenyans. Raila is a coup expert his history speaks loud and clear about his character.

That is a complete lie.
I am a Kenyan and I can confirm NASA is NOT a terrorist group.
Its a political party.
As for causing FEAR, what are you afraid of?
God is the answer to all your fears.

@Doreen, you really sound very shallow and dumb. As @Oyogi has advised you, go read a book to better inform yourself before you expose your naivity in a public forum. Bravo to the two patriotic Kenyans for their bravity to take these evil goons to The Hague to face ICC.

Doreen et al.. you are not worth reasoning.. How could one man all his political life cry wolf.. when I leaved in the states when. Candidate lost twice in any form of elections they gave up and followed to support another candidate that was the potential to win in their party. That's political maturity. For raila despite his political theft and embezzling money worth billions he is well know for coups, violence l, destruction of property etc. this is since 1982... does he have better things to do? Defeat after defeat this man is just. Hedonic wound for Kenya. How I miss moi and jomo Kenyatta.. yes they were dictators but they kept the country safe.. his slogan mkae na amani I miss that.. If you loose or if you don't have votes, please no need to keep dragging nonsense and bringing the country down to more debt.. You are worshipping evil.. whenever you see someone name their Fidel Castro and then sacrifice him., those are demonic powers that are sucking you in to worship them.. I don't blame you..
