Kalonzo: NASA MoU Still Intact

National Super Alliance (Nasa) coalition Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is till intact, Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has said.
Musyoka noted that the agreement, which brought together Wiper, Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), Ford-Kenya and Amani National Congress (ANC) parties is still intact because none of the four affiliate parties has sought to withdraw from the coalition by writing to the Registrar of political parties.
“ I belong to a coalition which is validly in place called NASA and I hope it will hold on until the next election,” said Kalonzo.
Kalonzo said that he will meet other Nasa co-principals Moses Wetang’ula and Musalia Mudavadi to discuss the re-organisation of the alliance. He further called on Opposition leader Raila Odinga to help reinstate Wetang’ula as Senate Minority Leader following his ouster last month.
Kalonzo spoke to journalists at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) on Friday after he returned to the country from Azerbaijan for an election observation mission.
He said he will also be visiting former President Daniel Arap Moi in his rural residence in Kabarak, Nakuru county for blessings ahead of his 2022 presidential bid.
“I must congratulate my brother Raila Odinga because I saw him going to see Mzee Moi. I also want to go and see Mzee Moi. We must now open this space. We also must respect our elders and go and seek their opinion,” Kalonzo said at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport on Friday.
