PS Lillian Omollo, NYS Boss Richard Ndubai among 20 Suspects Arrested Over Sh9 Billion Scandal
Police on Sunday night arrested National Youth Service (NYS) Director-General Richard Ndubai in connection to the ongoing probe into the Sh9 billion scam at the youth agency.
Ndubai, who stepped aside last week to clear the way for investigations into the scandal, was arrested alongside 20 other suspects and were detained at Muthaiga Police Station.
16 of them were arrested in Nairobi while four others were nabbed in Naivasha, Nakuru County. The suspects were on Monday morning driven to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) headquarters along Kiambu Road for further questioning.
Among those taken in include top NYS officers and suppliers alleged to have benefited from fraudulent tenders with the the youth agency.
Youth Affairs Principal Secretary Lillian Mbogo Omollo, who also stepped aside alongside Ndubai, was set to be arrested at her home in Nairobi, but surrendered herself to DCI detectives accompanied by her lawyers. She was arrested and taken to Muthaiga police station.
Anne Wambere Wanjiku Ngirita, the 30-year-old woman who confessed to receiving Sh60 million from NYS despite supplying nothing, was arrested in Naivasha alongside her mother Lucy Wambui, sister Phyllis and brother Gicini. They were arrested at their residence in Lake View Estate in Naivasha.
The arrests come a day after Director of Public Prosecutions Noordin Haji confirmed receiving investigation files for 10 firms that were awarded tenders in the Sh9 billion NYS heist.
“The DPP has independently reviewed all the Inquiries Files related to the ongoing Investigations at NYS and has directed prosecution commences immediately against all the named suspects,” said the DPP via Twitter.

I hope this is not like what they did to akina Waiguru. Arrest them and take them to a posh house in Muthaiga to party while deceiving wanjikus they have made an arrest.

In order to eliminate corruption, Kamiti buildings must be expanded. The current buildings are totally inadequate to accommodate all the current thieves holding very senior positions.
Before they arrest Omollo and Ndubai, Dr. Anne Mumbi Waiguru should not be spared. We need many external auditors to audit the current and past elected crooks and see how smart they are.
I saw Dr. William Chirchir Arap Ruto boarding an helicopter that I understand he owns. In addition, he has-built a house worth more than a billion shillings. He should be audited along with his boss Uhuru and all current and past government employees including past and current elected members of the parliament.
The audit to eliminate corrupt pests milking the poor wananchi should also be extended to the former presidents of Kenya.
I am quite confident that Kenya will ultimately recover from the malignant cancer that has minimized development and made life a nightmare for the many unemployed masses of the youth of Kenya.
Don't forget to audit all the members of the police force. This is the most corrupt joint in the entire republic.
