A photo of Makueni Governor Prof Kivutha Kibwana carrying a child on his back has excited Kenyans online, with many lauding him for showing servant leadership and humility.
Kibwana uploaded the photo on his social media page, explaining he was celebrating the Day of the African Child.
“Today as we celebrate the #DayofTheAfricanChild, themed ‘Leave no child behind for Africa’s Development’, let’s all reflect on our contribution to make our children thrive and develop," he wrote.
“We all have to uphold child rights, advocate for them and most importantly protect them,” he added.
The photo has since gone viral in the social media. Here's are some of the reactions from Kenyans; Irungu Goko said: " If only you can be our president deputy awe Matiang'i."
Titus Kisangau noted:" This guy, Prof... We need such brains."
Njeru Fab Martin commented: "Kudos mheshimiwa. Great show not forgetting you are a professor. Ingine huku embu ata sijui ilisomea wapi, one of the big 4 agenda is supplying panties to women."
Douglas Waweru Maina said: "Power has not changed the good professor of law. I still recall how at UoN he used to carry his law books and notes in a kiondo."
Eric Kitheka Koti said: " In June last year @bomas of Kenya I saw you arranging chairs for the visitors even without your body guards and I was very touched by your humility&humbleness Mr Governor, may God bless you."
Njoroge Wa Njeri noted: "Message driven direct home... You are doing a good job. How I wish all the other governors would do the same. You and Dt Mating'i should team up and lead Kenya in 2022."
Simon Odhiambo Gundi noted: "My governor. I have never regretted transferring my vote from Homa Bay County to Makueni county. My home for the last 7years."
Kimondo Wa Mureithi said: "That baby is kinda wondering,''You mean guka still remembers how to carry babies like me with a shuka?''
Jemimah W. Ruheni:" The kid is just looking at Prof. head keenly. I guess she's saying share your brain with majority Kenyans to think development in our counties and country but not just rooting and being corrupt.'

At this time we need more of such positive news. Kibwana you are one of a kind.
That baby seems to be thinking "huh, am I being carried by a looter or not? Somebody tell me!"
What a man! African heritage is rich and encapsulated in this pic. Wish all guys were like this. Having said that, ladies sometimes don't appreciate humbleness and often mistake it for weakness. Many have such men, but prefer the "bad boys, macho" stereotype. The ones that wrench your heart and tear it into pieces. Ladies, you know what I mean, (wink, wink!).
We hope is not dementia kicking in slowly by slowly eventually we will know.
A picture speaks a thousand words.
Thanks mheshimiwa
you're truly a good hearted leader God bless you to us more advises.
We don’t need such PR.Let kibutha kibwana go leave for 3 months in kibera, kiamaiko slums eat there sleep there then we will know he is a real Gavana.Hawa leaders wametuzoea sana.
Kwani umegeuka kwasababu Kibutha is on the opposition side.Your rhythm is all is good in defence of kina Uhuru and his looting gang as if you get a share of the loot. The truth is that all we have is an elite club of misleaders who you follow like KODOO.But some of them like waauji Raila,Wanjiru,Kabogo,Joho na Moi are worse because the are CANNIBALS.
Happy father's day Prof Kivutha Kibwana
