Uhuru Visits Moi at Nairobi Hospital

President Kenyatta visited retired President Daniel Arap Moi at Nairobi Hospital, where he is currently admitted.

During the visit to the hospital’s VIP wing on Thursday, Kenyatta had a lengthy discussion with his political mentor and wished him quick recovery, Moi’s Press Secretary Lee Njiru said on Friday.

“President Kenyatta on Thursday afternoon visited Mzee Moi at The Nairobi Hospital's VIP wing where he is recuperating and the two had a lengthy discussion interspersed with laughter,” read a statement by Njiru.

“The president wished him a speedy recovery.”

Njiru indicated that Moi was responding well to treatment and is looking forward to being discharged soon.

He said the 95-year-old former president is under the care of a team of doctors led by his personal physician Dr. David Silverstein.

Moi was re-admitted to the facility last Saturday, barely two days after he was discharged from the same hospital after two weeks of treatment.

I thought he, “ wasn’t sick or admitted” thought Lee Njiru clarified last month that he’s been getting , “ routine check ups”!
