Uhuru Begins Four-Day Tour of Central Kenya

President Kenyatta on Friday arrived at Sagana State Lodge in Nyeri ahead of his four-day tour of the Central Kenya region.

He was received by leaders from the region, led by Nyeri Deputy Governor Caroline Karugu.

During the visit, the president will launch several complete national government projects and inspect ongoing programs, according to State House.

Uhuru is also expected to hold meetings with Central Kenya leaders and residents to discuss various issues including the Big Four Agenda, the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI), curriculum reforms, and the fight against COVID-19.

Addressing the press ahead of Uhuru’s visit, State House spokesperson Kanze Dena said the Health Ministry’s COVID-19 guidelines will be strictly adhered to during the meetings.

Uhuru’s visit to his political backyard comes days after the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) cleared the BBI Bill, having certified that it received the support of at least one million registered voters as required by law.

IEBC Chairperson, Wafula Chebukati on Tuesday said the commission confirmed that the BBI Constitutional Amendment Bill, 2020, was supported by 1,140,845 registered voters.

He sent the Bill to all the 47 county assemblies for consideration within 90 days.

Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga are expected to launch nationwide campaigns to popularize BBI ahead of the looming referendum later this year.

The hustler spiel high pitched demagoguery will m
not make an iota of a difference in the lives of kenyans.its only a foolish expression in an outlandish supremacist theoretical attitudes being sold to the poor and the middle class and when kenya burns the so called hustlers propagators will be in their comfort zones watching in televisions as people butcher one another.None of the hustlers care about any planning on how to escape the execrable squalor from their problems only that the hustler politicians are using the poor population to fight one another using their fiery speeches meant to advance their career progression and its primitive politics.Being rich or poor is neither a conformity in kenya or anywhere in the world or in any ideological history worldwide. Its either wealth gained by some legitmately, stolen and to some remainining poor all their lives. The so called hustlers are hardly interested in making anyone wealthy like themselves.Poverty is the parent for resolution to try make it better and good luck may work and not the wheelbarrow and mikokotenis handouts.
