Uhuru Breaks Silence on Appeals Court Ruling on BBI

President Kenyatta has broken his silence on last week’s Appeals Court ruling on the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI).

The second-highest court on the land upheld a High Court decision that declared the BBI constitutional review process null and void.

Speaking during an engagement with media editors at State House, Nairobi on Monday, Kenyatta said the judges were misguided on BBI.

"People have decided to deny Kenyans what is legitimately theirs. BBI was not about who was going to be president, I am more than happy to serve out my term and finish my program,” said Kenyatta.

He added: "Part of my agenda is to bring people together and maintain a peaceful, stable, united country. The courts have been highly misguided on that process, it is not a competition issue.”

He dismissed claims that BBI was meant to extend his stay in power or propel ODM leader Raila Odinga to power.

"There's no clause in BBI that says that the incumbent president is going to continue for another 10 years, this is all propaganda," he said.

“Unfortunately, the courts have ruled the way they have ruled and I believe that they have been highly misguided in that process, we have diverted from why we wanted the BBI to it being an issue of competition…some saying this BBI was to propel Raila Odinga. Odinga would have declared his candidature without BBI.”

Hii pesa munaambiwa iko wapi? Why must 70 extra constituencies be created to get the promised money? But muuaji Raila anakuaga usingizi. He is been promised Haven by mulevi na ata hana habali.Who is Uhuru to tell others to resign? He doesn’t even know his so-called govt and parliament are illegal. But I feel sorry for the so-called elected leaders from Mt.Kenya region who are campaigning for muchawi Amollo as none of the will be re-elected.

BBI was all about creating highly paid positions for all polititians in government. Nothing else. The reasoning behind it was 'if one of us is eating, then the rest of us are satisfied'. That is not biologically true. Uhuru should accept that he made a mistake, and move on. He should also accept that his 'project' to sell Raila in Mt Kenya is headed for failure, and will meet the same fate as BBI. Raila's history is well documented, from 1982. We know who he is, from history. He is a god to the Luo, but he is unsellable outside Luo Nyanza.

As @Nomad puts it,Muigai only shared shs 200b.EUROBOND,shs 217b COVID,shs 2b(daily) scandals with his mother, children, siblings and other elite thugs led by Raila and Ruto.I also know three of Uhuru’s close relatives and qualified nurses living somewhere in US who have been trying to get Uhuru’s aid or loan to establish a SENIOR’s home without success.I advised them to sell their inheritance land(which was grabbed by Kamau Muigai) as it might be forcefully seized in case of a revolution.
