Moi’s Grandson Evicted from Residential House over Sh240,000 Rent Arrears

Collins Kibet Toroitich, the eldest grandson of the late former president Daniel Arap Moi has been evicted from his residential house over Sh240,000 rent arrears.

Kibet, who is the son of Moi’s first-born son the late Jonathan Kipkemboi Moi, told the High Court in Nairobi that he was kicked out last week and is now in the streets as he is broke and cannot provide for himself and his family. Court papers show that Kibet has outstanding rent arrears for six months amounting to more than Sh240,000.

Through his lawyer Duncan Okatch, Kibet told Justice Aggrey Muchelule on Monday that he has been excluded from the management of the multi-billion-shilling estate left behind by his late father, who died in April 2019 without leaving a will.

Business Daily reports that the estate is currently managed by Kibet's stepmother Sylvia Moi and his half-brother Clint Kiprono.

Kibet accuses the two of refusing to provide for him despite being a dependant and a biological son of Jonathan and wants the court to revoke the certificate of administration over their father's estate obtained by Sylvia and Clint.

"The deceased's first house, where Collins comes from, is not being provided for and is not among the administrators. He was evicted from his house on Friday and is now on the streets. It is saddening, considering the nature of the estate," lawyer Okatch told Justice Muchelule.

The attorney wants his clients named among the administrators of the estate and the current administrators be barred from conducting any transactions related to the estate pending mediation.

"The estate is actively being dealt with although the grant for letters of administration has not been confirmed. Funds are coming in (to the estate) and there is no accountability. He is the eldest son of the deceased," Okatch said as quoted by Business Daily.

"The co-administrators unlawfully attempted to disinherit the applicant out of his beneficial share in Jonathan's estate by intentionally excluding him as a beneficiary of the estate despite at all material times being aware that he is the eldest biological child of Jonathan and a bonafide dependant. We urge for urgency in the determination of our application because he cannot provide for himself or his family. His wife and children cannot believe he is not getting a share. Let us make a provision for him like the others are getting," he added.

Last year, Kibet’s estranged wife Gladys Jeruto sued him demanding support of Sh1 million per month for his two children aged 9 and 11.

All these elite gangsters and their immediate families including those of expired wauji Kamau,Moi,Ondinga, current and former MPs/senators,governors,kina Wanjigi,Pattine etc should FACE THE FIRING SQUAD.Taka taka like Kibet,a pilot who lives in a shs 250000 per month apartment is not even ashamed announcing publicly that he is broke and homeless just to escape paying children support.I differ with those saying Jeruto is a gold digger as she wants to take back what Moi stole from her.13m.Kenyans are facing hunger,a situation brought by runaway corruption brought by these elite thugs.

Mixed priorities with many Kenyans! He is getting a lawyers who is happy to eat the money he can use to rent a place to stay! Ujinga tupu! His grand Moi’s milking shed is clean enough! He can live there with the cows!

Real smart like his Babu Moi.
Play STUPID to the end,and won't pay the child support and spousal support.
Once the case is settled, he will head back to his MILLIONS.
