Joho Announces Political Comeback After Undergoing Surgery Abroad

Former Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho has resurfaced after staying out of the public limelight for months.

Joho, who has maintained a low profile since leaving office in August last year, said he has been away for health reasons and is still on medication after undergoing surgery abroad.

Speaking while attending Eid prayers in Mombasa on Friday, the former governor clarified that he has not retired from politics even as he reiterated his support for the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya coalition’s agenda.

“I have not retired from politics. I am still an ODM member only that I have been away because of health reasons. Once I recover fully, I will join my party leader, Odinga in the demos,” said Joho, an ardent supporter of Azimio leader Raila Odinga.

He added: “I support the [Azimio] protests 100 percent and this time round if they will happen I will be at the forefront leading the people of Mombasa.”

Joho further pointed out that he was disappointed by the current political situation in the country, adding the high cost of living is a result of poor governance.

“The high cost of living that Kenyans are facing right now is because Ruto is prioritizing other things and not the bottom-up approach as he had promised during the campaigns. I subscribe fully to the ideologies of Raila,” he said.  “I am disappointed to see here in Coast leaders are not ready to push the government lower the cost of living.”

He get power drunk. Why would he want to retire from politics ?He's like any other scoundrels who makes millions of Ksh. deceiving and conning uninformed voters with their other interests. There needs to be age and term limits. There's not much worse than their longevity in office.

This procedure that was performed on him,is it available in Kenya,or africa? If the operation could be done in Kenya, and he went out of the country, that says alot about the faith he has in the health system of the government he once participated in,and wants to continue...
Yes, I want your votes, but when I get sick, I will leave you here, and if you get sink,be content with "local" doctors. WIth doctors here, I dont have a better chance..This is pretty much what he is telling his constituency.

Sorry sir. I won’t settle for local doctors either. Kenyan docs are demoralized pathetic jokes who keep fighting for higher pay yet do nothing other than sabotage any govt in power! On paper, they are busy selling their services to private hospitals where they rarely even offer those services coz once they are paid, they disappear!! They are now a bunch of greedy folks with gross negligent and a pile of malpractice lawsuits in tow! The healthcare system is fkd up in Kenya. The whole country just needs a reset button, a complete revolution to instill long lost discipline. No one cares in this country anymore!!

Running away is not the solution.Fixing it is. If we dont have competent people to fix the system, them, let "import" them. the health of the nation is too important to offer substandard care...

Fix it! You have all the solutions! You appears detached from where you come from. I see why people have been saying the things they have been saying about you. I hope the 14 year old is not true but it could also be true. Stop making comments that look like you have never lived in Kenya dude
