Mumias East MP Peter Salasya at Pains to Explain Climate Change Phenomenon

Mumias East MP Peter Salasya has become a trending topic on social media once again.
The Lawmaker recently appeared in a video struggling to explain the significance of the ongoing Africa Climate Summit which began on September 4th at the Kenyatta International Conventional Center in Nairobi. During an interview with local media on Tuesday, Salasya was asked to clarify the event's purpose and the effects of climate change on the nation. Although he attempted to provide a coherent response, his answer was not as clear as he had hoped.
“As we are all aware, it’s that…it’s climate change because you find that, by the way, climate change is real because of global warming. I was in Mombasa last week, and it was so cold. I asked them, what is happening? They told me the sun has become too hot and the ice is melting, and so when it melts, that thing becomes cold,” he said.
The interviewer also inquired about Salasya's efforts to address climate change to which he explained that a lack of funding is preventing his constituents from adopting environmentally friendly energy sources. He highlighted that he represents rural constituents who rely predominantly on firewood for cooking. He added that legislators are advocating for the adoption of alternative options such as jikos and gas. He lamented that his constituents are constrained financially and are unable to immediately embrace the green transition.
He remained optimistic that the government would reduce the cost of these energy sources. Salasya further mentioned that young people in his constituency have developed a funding proposal that he plans to submit at the summit. In the viral clip, a man captured standing on Salasya's left appears to be holding back laughter while the MP answered questions.

Ya! Salazay’s voters are just dummies who don’t know any better. They don’t even know that climate can change!

Should anyone be surprised that Salasya had problems articulating climate change? He is a product of an education system that trains people to get jobs, not to be thinkers. Do you all remember even Ruto could not support his Bottoms Up theory?

It is the responsibility of every citizen on earth (COPE - Citizen Of Planet Earth), to preserve, protect, defend, and nurture our only home "Planet Earth."
Listen to the words of wisdom from Dr. "X" Manyora of the University of Nairobi share his views about nurturing our only home - planet earth.
NB: "X" stands for a foreign name (Biblical, Quranic, or colonial masters name) acquired during colonialism.

Dr.Manyora is right. These conferrence much like what AU holds every so often is just "atalk show ".It's an expensive entertainment for afew privileged.Like the good Dr. said, we do not need these climate conferrences to have a clean Kenya.
After over sity years on being so called independent, we should not have slums like Kibera, and Mathare,or Majengo as sore thumbs on our landscape.
Some parts of Nairobi are still filthy. Not to mention the toxic rivers...Rotting sewage everywhere. To me, this is more worrysome and of immediate concern, and should be dealt with before we start riding electic bicycles.

Jake tran vid on evil origin of education. Will make every parent love home schooling kids. I don't blame this MP much after watching it. Schools are kid conditioning prisons, creativity killers, destiny destroyers.
