Kenya Airways (KQ) has signed a partnership agreement with American low-cost airline JetBlue Airways.
Under the agreement, Kenya Airways customers flying to New York will be able to connect with JetBlue-operated flights to several cities in the US and North America region, including Minneapolis, Boston, Vancouver, Atlanta, Fort Lauderdale, Tampa, Palm Beach, Cancun, and San Juan, among others.
Similarly, the partnership will allow JetBlue passengers to book a through ticket to Nairobi and enjoy seamless connections to the rest of Kenya Airways destinations.
“We are constantly looking for new ways and partnerships that will offer our customers more choice and value,” said Kenya Airways Chief Commercial and Customer Officer Julius Thairu.
Customers can purchase their tickets via the Kenya Airways website, KQ Mobile App, as well as their preferred travel agent.
Kenya Airways launched direct flights between Nairobi and New York in October 2018, cutting the journey to15 hours on the long-haul route.
The nonstop flights aimed to encourage more business and tourist travel, with the US being the biggest source of international visitors to Kenya.
Headquartered in the Long Island City in New York, JetBlue Airways is the seventh-largest airline in North America by passengers carried.

Tell us the date when this flight commences as hundreds of Minnesotans are waiting to book their flights. We have enriched other world carriers for far too long. It's time to spend our flight money on our own Airline.
