Global pop star Rihanna has announced that her Fenty Beauty line of makeup and skincare products will make its way to Kenya and a number of other African countries.
Rihanna, 34, made the announcement on her Twitter account on Tuesday, saying that the products will officially become available in Botswana, Ghana, Kenya, Namibia, Nigeria, South Africa, Zambia, and Zimbabwe from May 27th.
“I have been waiting for this moment. Fenty Beauty and Fenty Skin are finally dropping in Africa,” she posted on her verified Twitter handle.
The popular brand, which has propelled Rihanna into billionaire status, was launched in 2017 with the mission to make products for people with all skin tones. It is known for its broad range of 50 skin tones, including dark shades products which were rare when it launched.
Forbes ranked Rihanna as the second richest female entertainer in the world behind American media mogul Oprah Winfrey. The US business magazine placed the ‘Diamonds’ hit maker at 1,729 in the latest list of international billionaires released in April.
Her $1.7 billion net worth is largely attributed to the success of the Fenty Beauty brand, which she co-owns with French luxury retailer LVMH.

Good job sister from another mother. Now go the extra step, start some retail stores in Kenya and hire some locals. Lakini remember the small matter of a beast called KRA and our men in blue.
