Steve, who is the CEO of Spoton Vacations, was presented with the Most Influential Youth Leader of the Year trophy by His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Majid Al Mualla, the ruler of Dubai.
“Honoured to be awarded by His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Majid Al Mualla-Ruler of Dubai as the Most Influential Youth Leader Of The Year Joining the List of the 50 Most Influential Global Leaders in the World,” Steve wrote on his social media pages.
“To my Fellow Youths , this award is dedicated to you all “Never give up “ keep going ! You never know who’s watching. As it’s rightly said, Us youth are the force, hope and leaders of tomorrow.”
Steve, a former marketing manager at Bonfire Safaris, was recognized for his contribution in breaking the barriers of Tourism both pre and post-pandemic across the world.
His company Spoton Vacations has been recognized as Kenya’s Leading Travel Agency by World Travel Awards for three years in a row.
In a past interview, the 32-year-old businessman revealed how he scaled up the ranks from a social media admin to lead a digital marketing team at Bonfire Safaris.
“I graduated in 2010 from Mount Kenya University in Thika, where I had pursued a Tourism Management course. I moved to Githurai 45 slums where I used to commute from while hunting for a job in Nairobi,” Mark told Nairobi News.
He would later secure an unpaid internship where he faced tough times but stayed put to learn and gain experience until he joined Bonfire Adventures in 2014 as a social media admin.

Well done young man. While at your best, please highlight the EXPLOITATION youth undergo in these
UNPAID INTERNSHIPS. Trainees don't need a pay, they meet an ALLOWANCE... truth be told, they also contribute to the man-hours...they do not take away. A debate is due.
Congrats congrats on your achievement
