Police Guard PLO Lumumba's Rural Home in Siaya after Destruction Threats for Defending IEBC in Presidential Petition

More police officers have been deployed to guard lawyer PLO Lumumba's rural home in Siaya County after unknown individuals threatened to burn down his house and kill his employees.
Bondo OCPD Paul Kiarie said police officers have been stationed at the homestead in Usigu division, Bondo sub-county, while investigations into the alleged threat continue.
Kiarie further revealed that police had received intelligence reports indicating that there were plans to attack and destroy property at the home because of Lumumba’s submissions during the hearing of the presidential petition at the Supreme Court earlier this week.
Lumumba, representing IEBC in the case, has been branded a traitor by some Raila Odinga and National Super Alliance (NASA) supporters and was heavily trolled on social media platforms for poking holes on the former Prime Minister's petition at the Supreme Court.
One of the workers at Lumumba's home said that unknown individuals hurled stones into the compound of the lawyer on Monday night moments after he made his submissions at the court.
In his submissions, Lumumba said Raila Odinga's petition was “dead on arrival” and asked the Supreme Court to dismiss it.
The worker also said that close friends living within the locality had called to inform him of an alleged plan by some youths to raze the home down if the Supreme Court upholds President Uhuru Kenyatta’s re-election.
Supreme Court judges will deliver a verdict on the petition on Friday.

Tell them to come and burn my home in Muhoroni next to the Catholic Church. I tell you they would not know what hit them dead.
These are some of the things that my uncle Ojinga should condemn in the strongest words possible. But he cannot because he enjoy seeing others suffer. He is a true modern day Lord of Poverty. Shindwe yeye.Anaswe kabisa.

The Lord gave us brains to use them rightfully. We must therefore, use the brains to think rationally. Wilderbeasts trove into Mara river blindly even though crocodiles have mouths wide open to kill and eat them. Siaya community, use the God's gift with intelligence. Don't let loser Raila cast you into the teeth of crocodiles.

One-time AFC Leopards player, William Obwaka scored two goals against Gor Mahia and they called him a traitor and burned his parent's home. It seems you MUST not go against the tribe's interests. Sick.

Ben.if you have not watched PLO lumumba's speech Magafulification of africa... check it out.
tribalism has become a bane to your unity as Kenyans,in general.
Yes some will say that this vice is not "indigenous" to Kenyans, that may be so,but why not tackle it mercilessly to eradicate it,instead of saying so and so has the same problem...Let worry about our house before we worry about what the neighbor is doing,or not doing.

Ben, it appears we are all scared of naming the elephant in the room, so here I go: Seems to me that the majority of Luos are stuck in reconciling with our Kenyan diversity. They are the only tribe I know that take it a step further, i.e violence. They lose a football match, and they take the anger out onto the street and destroy property, vehicles, etc.... Now, come to think of it, about three years ago, I went looking for a record (Nyandundo) as I had enjoyed it in a party I went to in Nairobi. I approached one of a small businesses along Tom mboya and this young Luo guy asked me rather aggressively if I knew the meaning or understood the song? For me, I enjoyed the beats of the music and how energized it was. Naively, I admitted I did not, but still enjoyed dancing to it. I was told rather rudely to go buy a Kuyo music. I was giving him business mind you, but his hatred clouded his judgement that I was just another punter. I was shocked as this was not an old guy, but a young man. Now. I have said it, let the haters come for me.....We need to grow up and integrate more. We are foremost Kenyans, anything else is secondary.

Sukari,Iam shocked that a person regardless of age could behave like this young fellow you mention.
I dont know if you are male or female, but my guess is that you are a male. Now if you were some cute sexy kuyo, I hardly doubt if that situation you encountered would have existed. And our ancestors knew this long time ago. We give our enemies our beauties(intermarry),and we win their friendship...
We are no longer confined to tribal communities.Kenyans should settle anywhere they want and can afford without fear of being looked at as a "foreigner"who has over stayed his welcome.

Maxiley, I was shocked to the core. Funny you think the reaction would have different if I was a cute sexy Kuyu (I am female, b.t.w, cute & sexy is subjective, so...) as my exact thought then was he would have reacted differently had I been male. To this very day, I will never forget the look of contempt he gave me. Still bought the record elsewhere and still play it with pride.
Now that the supreme courts have over tuned the elections, I pray and hope this sort of arrogance will not be played in the streets. Still reeling with shock....looks that corruption is still at the core of the Kenyan system if indeed there were discrepancies found. Well....Mhhh....
