Mudavadi Calls for Resignation of President Uhuru Kenyatta

Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi has called for the resignation of President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto.
In a statement on Monday, Mudavadi said it was clear that the Head of State had failed to tame corrupt government officials and thus unfit to continue holding the country's highest office.
"What is happening is no longer the usual corruption that is endemic in Government, but planned looting of public resources by those entrusted with its protection," Mudavadi said in a statement.
He added: “Emboldened by Government preventive agencies' laxity to confront corruption at the source, darting off with billions of taxpayers’ money has become the business in Government. In open democratic societies, at the scent of such a monumental rip-off, this Government would have resigned by now."
Mudavadi said the massive looting of public resources unearthed in the Ministry of Health, National Youth Service, Kenya Pipeline Company, National Cereals and Produce Board and Youth Enterprise Fund has exposed the Jubilee government as the most corrupt regime since the country attained independence.
The National Super Alliance (Nasa) principal further said that it was unfortunate that some of the graft lords continue to enjoy State protection against prosecution.
“The only new thing is the thieves' confidence. It's like they know the law can't reach them. That's why they steal with impunity," he said.

Mudavadi, it is okay to cry corruption but were you not accused of being corrupt when you were in government? I agree we need to tame the rampant corruption but let's first give Uhuru space to fire the wrongdoers.
