Nairobi-Bound Plane Carrying 10 Goes Missing after Departing Kitale

A light aircraft headed to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) in Nairobi from Kitale, Trans Nzoia County has gone missing.

Authorities said the last contact with the Cessna C208 plane with 10 people on board was at 5pm and is suspected to have crashed in the Aberdares.

Search teams have been dispatched to the Aberdares, but there are fears that the operation may be hindered by poor visibility in the area.

In a tweet, Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KAA) said the flight was last seen on radar at 14:02pm.

Trans Nzoia County police commander Samson Ole Kine confirmed that the aircraft is missing. The Cessna C208 aircraft had two crew members and eight passengers.

Ijust read that the plane apparently ran into bad weather. My question is if the weather concerns are foreseeable? Any pilots here?.I ask because common sense dictates that one waits till the air clears so to speak...
